Why am I even doing this self-inflicted chore... So: If you wanna have some fun, laughs and hear Marcinko's poetry, go for it! But at a really reasonnable price (like during sales) because that's the only thing you'll like, besides the finish moves, properly done, to be fair. Other than that: it's poorly optimized, ugly, the gameplay is ''riveting'', the music isn't bad but generic and repetitive, too short and the multiplayer is empty (I might give it a proper shot if I find someone to experience the pain haha) and above all, its difficulty is frustrating. Little reminder: it was released in 2009; this same year got great FPS games such as Killzone 2, Battlefield 1943, Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2, F.E.A.R 2 and of course, Modern Warfare 2. Again, and with all due respect: play it with friends to laugh out loud. Otherwise: just don't do it. Unless, you want to laugh on your own... it's kinda worth it... especially at 2 euros. 31/3/2026 Update: I forgot to mention Marcinko's voice actor, who is Mickey Rourke! It makes the game funnier.

My pet Steven the Seagull had a fever dream about becoming Duke Nukem, minus the babes. What should have been an instant classic has become a niche shooter. While enjoyable, the game is plagued with poor performance including the application minimizing at random moments, usually ending with you being shot and having to restart from your last checkpoint. On the plus side, you can enjoy this from beginning to end in under 2 hours. On the minus, I now owe $20 to the swear jar.
