Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Edit: After beating all the story has to offer... it's very disappointing. I still recommend it on sale, but the campaign is not even the full story (barely even half way through the anime's story??). The main gameplay will end up being the randomly generated temple, but with the limited bosses and content, I see it getting stale pretty fast. I can't believe this was a full price release, it feels incomplete on a lot of different levels. I got enough out of it but the AI is so bad they can die and ruin an entire 30+ minute run because they just stood there in a bomb AOE that is easily avoided if you had control. You cannot control them fast enough to move them out manually. It's worth it on sale in my opinion. The biggest elephant in the room is the story being mainly told through stills, audio clips, and drawings. It's definitely disappointing, but I highly recommend watching the anime and just skip the retelling here. However, the in-game cutscene recreations are fantastic and if they had done that for all the story nuances instead of stills it would be worth full price and make it a truly special experience and wouldn't be so polarizing. The gameplay is very fun. I'm only early in, but the core loop is fun so far and everything feels good. You don't just mash buttons and the unique mechanics of the first three characters make them all play very differently and they're all fun. I'm barely halfway through the anime and I'm planning to get through that before finishing this, but so far the game is faithful (if you ignore certain liberties they took to make the gameplay more fun). I was really hoping this would start with fighting the bad heroes at the beginning, but it's only told through stills and you don't get a real introduction to the monster island. It's also pretty limited in terms of exploration, I'm hoping this improves, but you kind of just get arena battles and small stages. I think the random generated dungeon stuff does make up for this though. I'm expecting it to get better, but I like everything so far and everything was done well except the storytelling. It feels lazy in that regard, but gameplay-wise it is a great game if you want a hack-and-slash. I think Dragon Quest Heroes did this formula better, but if you want more of that kind of game then this is worth it.

Olvidable.
its clearly the developers were in a rush.. they could've done better. Gameplay was OK but a little stiff and buggy. storytelling was mehh.. 90% they used scenes from the anime. what a shame..
the game was... okay i can't decide whether to click yes or no when it comes to recommending the game because i didn't HATE it or love it. it is very much not worth the price it's asking for, controls feel pretty stiff a lot of the time, ending felt very abrupt. regardless, i found the game to be growing on me at the end. probably won't 100% but it was fun to try it out.
I really enjoyed this game, My only complaint was that this game has a bug that doesn't let you save your progress I was going to attempt to refund this game but as I continued to play it .. I just forced myself to beat it in one sitting I know most people aren't willing to do that so please be aware that a save bug currently exists and doesn't let you save your progress at all which can be a huge deal breaker and turn off. Despite that being its only flaw this game has confirmed me to be even more of a huge Dragon Quest fan this game gives early Dragon Ball Z vibes and I'm loving it from the main cast to the demons and villains that Dai has to fight and encounter. I even really liked Avan's sense of honor and helping people who needed the most help (Dai's master and teacher) this game really pulled on the heart strings and now I'm willing to buy the manga's and even watch the original show. Thank you Dragon Quest I hope we get to get another game in this franchise and have it as a complete product instead of ending halfway through an amazing world and story! Lastly upon completion of this game I hope we get a second game that eventually comes out for DAI and make it the full complete package with the story that would give us DAI Hard fans a supreme treat! and we would love you forever <3
The game only covers until the castle fight. It misses a lot so I guess eventually there will be a sequel. A lot of fights didn't happened, instead it was narrated which doesn't make sense to me I've watched the anime, the series has potential for a game but not like this... The only good thing is the temple of recollection gameplay
its trash
Es nostalgico por el anime, pero como juego es muy basico y aburrido. Es caro para lo que es, y encima te cobran dlcs.
Manga : Top tier Anime 1991 : Top tier Anime Remake Top tier game : Refunded at 58 minutes of playtime SHOULD HAVE BEEN A FIGHTING GAME or musou .. what a wasted potential.
