Rogue Shooter: The FPS Roguelike

As I was playing, it dawned on me that if this was not a roguelike, but just a shooter, no-one would give this game a second look. The moment-to-moment gameplay brings Operation Bodycount to mind. The only thing that makes the game "interesting" is the roguelike template mashed on top. So to briefly sum up the game: it's a below mediocre Wolfenstein clone in which you're constantly struggling with inadequate supplies and gear that's always degrading. If that sounds like fun to you, give it a go. If it doesn't, absolutely judge this book by its cover because: yes, it plays exactly like you'd think based on how it looks. EDIT: I tried out the redux version and, while it does fix some of the issues of the base game, it's utterly pointless. Be like Mr. Burns and be happier with your dollars.

+ Interesting weapons + Game mechanics are good + Replayable roguelike - The control really sucks - Concepts are unknown - Bad UI design Verdict: Good game, but control ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up.

Who ever built this place really needs to rethink the elevator system. --- A pretty niche rouge like with older looking graphics. It's an ok timesink if you've got nothing else to do.
