A genuinely good "survivorlike" game with some flaws. Clearly still has strong elements of the original Vampire Survivors in the weapon combos and general structure but adds dashes, alternate dashes, persistent equipment, an overworld map system like slay the spire, and several other mechanics that add noticeable depth and make it a meaningful evolution of the formula. Feels like another strong branch of the family tree, like Soulstone Survivors non-epileptic cousin (I mean that in the most complimentary possible way, I have several hundred hours in Soulstone and it is definitely one of the other meaningful evolutions of the survivorlike genre. A couple issues: One and the most noticeable right away is controller support. The minute-to-minute gameplay works great (movement, dashes, aiming, etc.) but menus are rough, at least on the Steam Deck. Part of the reason I haven't touched equipment progression is I spent the first 10 or so hours playing on the deck and just never bothered to fight the crafting menu beyond just equipping stuff I found. The second is scaling can be weird. It seems like the jump in enemy toughness and damage spikes at certain times, I noticed it the most in the Manor map, going from pretty quickly stomping the boss of the previous stage to the candle mobs taking several seconds to kill feels weird when the progression prior was largely smooth with the exception of the crystal caves having a noticeable bump in enemy hp compared to prior stages. There may just be some mechanic I'm missing (like certain mobs having different mixes of HP vs Def or something) that you need to plan for in the run. But it seems like difficulty goes from fairly linear scaling to exponential at certain points and it can be jarring. If you want to do the $/hr metric I got the game for 9$ on sale, have 13hrs in so far and have played 2 of 8 characters, haven't even touched survivors mode, haven't crafted any equipment yet, and still haven't unlocked all the pick ups, weapons, etc. Also, still barely have dove into the different interactions for soul cards and theorycrafting (despite the solid tutorials, tooltips, and in-game encyclopedia that covers mechanics, enemies, and how to unlock things.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Had an issue with cloud saves between desktop and deck at first but it got resolved somehow. This game is pretty good. I've played most "survivor"/auto-shooter games on Steam at this point: this and DRG Survivor are the only ones worth playing. Also, I'm glancing at some of the other reviews and noticing some complaints about gamepad controls, which is valid. But a lot of these same people are playing on steam deck... c'mon now, what do you think the trackpads are for?
EPIC WIN........ This is my favorite roguelite/like game. EVER. Awesome synergy with builds. Gear, items, weapons, badonkadonk. LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
Easily the best game in its genre. Rogue: Genesia is addicting as hell and beyond fun. The levels of power the player can get to is absolutely insane.
100% Recommend to roguelike fans. If you enjoyed Vampire Survivors or my personal favorite, Tiny Rogues then this is for you. It has the replayability and long term progression from runs you seek. Getting your build to take off and progressing the games content to allow deeper pushes has kept me hooked. This game hits all the right notes and is a MUST try at least.
It’s a damn good time. Throw VS and a roguelike into a blender and hit blend and this is what you’d get. Only 4 hours in but I can see what’s here is solid, fun, and there is a ton to unlock. If you enjoy survivors and roguelike and want to see what a combo of those would be like, give this a shot.
I want to like it. I do. And at times I do like it. Love it even. I like that there's a ♥♥♥♥ ton of stats to manipulate and play around with. There's equipment, forgin/crafting on that equipment and...Jesus, just so many systems to interact with. It really is something like I would want to design if I made video games. I like crunch and weird mechanics. What I don't like is the half assed meta-progression and progression roadblocks that are added to extend out the life of the game. I don't mean unlockable cards I mean when a game has both a way for you to increase your damage and the enemy hp/xp scaling as a meta progression item, it's a net 0 and pretty unneeded. Then, if you can get past that, there's the gameplay. Since it's a Survivaton game, It's pretty common for the screen to get covered in enemies. The only issue is, your attacks can EASILY cover 90% of the screen. And while they're pretty, it's going to cost you your run. 100% hands down, you will lose a run because of how much stuff is flying around on screen at one time. If you're not dealing with that, you may be sitting in one spot with a screen of nonthing but little dots flying around, while you kill everything and I mean everything off screen. I want to love this game, but it needs to QOL and love before it's really a great game.
I've played this game for a couple of years and it's one of the best in the bullet-heaven genre! The performance of the game has been hit or miss for a while(when too many projectiles are on screen at the same time) but the dev has mitigated it somewhat and now it's much better than it was a year+ ago. Other than that, it's a really good game with a lot of thought put into it.
Incredible game, i can confidently say that it's the "most worth" game i ever bought
