Roboquest VR is truly a Flat 2 VR game... quite literally. You can choose to play in a PC-like way with auto reload or maybe full manual reload if you are feeling brave... Currently, there's no benefit to doing thing manually other than it cool. And I think that's a downside. If I reload faster IRL, I shouldn't need to wait for animation to finish. When I first played this game it feels very UEVR-mod kinda way. You are just using controller to point and shoot at thing. And after playing more it still feel like a mod over a standalone game. (Which is okay!) Manual reload still have to wait for animation to finish, when you slash something with your melee you have to wait (like a PC game) If there's weapon that will turn this into a full blown VR game, it gotta be the bow. Bow is just full physical moment like a true VR game. No delay. This is the most fun weapon for me. And second most fun weapon is throwable like Axe, Shuriken. The worst has to be melee. (The bot that can teleport with knife) You slash, it hit enemy, you slash again, it doesn't hit enemy. Ugh! It a co-op game it doesn't have to be THAT balanced. Make it feels good first! It just feels so PC-coded for now. That's all I have about the "Flat (PC) feeling" of the game Now the game itself... is so AWESOME! It's a first roguelike that I can't finish in one day. (Granted I played on hardest difficulty but I also do on other VR titles) This is a FULL LONG PCVR game. You have so much content to enjoy in this game. I haven't even got to experience everything yet! Highly recommend if you love PC game like Risk of Rain 2, Quake, Ultrakill. It got that boomer shooter vibe mixed with roguelike. Any game in VR similar to this?... I don't think so. Nothing has hit the unique vibe of Roboquest yet. Disclaimer: I received this product for free to playtest the game.

Amazing game, both on PC and Quest. I highly recommend it to everyone, BUT be warned: the game is extremely intense and will completely wear you out if you play for too long. Perfect for the morning: have a coffee, play a round to wake yourself up before work, take a shower, and head to the factory. A masterpiece.
It's flashy, fluid, arcady and a blast to play. Powerups, bosses, guns, classes, upgrades, it's all there. Not much of a story but that's not what this game is about. It's about shooting things because it's fun. Absolutely recommend 100%. And with multiplayer coming just wow.
its roboquest in vr, of course its good
I'm liking it so far! Its a lot of fun running around and popping all the enemies. Its very fast paced and you'll need your VR legs to fully play this the way its intended. Pros: - Very fast paced - Lots of gun variety - Multiple reload options and control over control tuning Cons: - Currently somewhat demanding on the GPU. Sounds like they working on more optimizations here - VR at this speed can make motion sickness a problem if you're not used to it. I'm planning on playing more and will revise this review once I've experienced more of it, but so far its a lot of fun.
such a good port of an already fun flat game, feels so nice having something fleshed out to play in VR
Awesome fun and addictive gameplay! This game has a huge variety of cool weapons and crisp visuals. Nicely polished and runs very smoothly. Cool variety of environments and great level designs that offer significant rewards for exploration. If you like rougelite shooters Roboquest is a no brainer imo.
Other than a few bugs the game plays great!
Great roguelike, and the co-op is a blast.
Perfect game to adapt to VR, and it seems like they did a fantastic job at it. Feels just like the original. But better because it's in VR.
