Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
A brave stranger putting your life on the line to make a difference in this grim fantasy world. While most people would never risk a solitary journey through the wilder parts of the land, you willingly accept the struggle. You guard travellers, connect isolated villages, support merchants, and repel attacking creatures, bandits, or even undead.
A powerful merchant guild has called on your services, sending you on a journey into the unknown planes of a mysterious peninsula in the hopes to expand the guild’s influence even further. Explore this world and gather as much information as possible to reveal the secrets surrounding the area. It’s a dangerous task, but an equally respectable one.

The Steam summer sale has gifted me with this gem and i highly recommend!!! If you like lore, dealing with other people's relationships, and getting to choose whether to be a nice person or a complete asshat, or if you're bored and depressed this summer, this is the game for you. I lay in bed last night thinking and strategizing about what I was going to do next in this. Other highlights: - you get to name your horse - some casual lgbtq+ rep! - sick art and great writing

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really love that game, but I also know I would not be able to recommend it to just anyone. You should play it: - if you like long reading sessions, storytelling with choices, lore, characters writing, charming atmosphere (the sound design and music are good and simple without trying to impress). You should not play it: -if you don't like reading, long conversations with NPCs, and humble pixel graphics.
Roadwarden is one of those choices matter games that stuck with me long after the game was over. Early choices do sometimes have profound consequences in ways you would not imagine. Results are not easily predictable, and there was no clear way to make a "right" or "wrong" choice. The story was immersive. The art was fitting and charming. The lore was dosed in a way that left me hanging in pleasant suspense to find out more. I never felt like I was drowning in exposition.
Seriously a fantastic game, I have never really played a text based game like this before and when I got it initially I wasnt really bothered to get into it, come back months later and I played for hours on end. I think the world is very well crafted I loved the sort of low fantasy vibe, in particular how you respond to said world's events and people. Each town and character has an interesting history and its definetly worth exploring for narrative and gameplay reasons, a quick chat with a local ended up turning my focus more times than I can think. I especially loved seeing how your actions spoke for you, the more you went out of your way to help people, even small stuff like clearing a path to make it easier for others to travel etc started to turn heads and soften peoples' opinion of the "stranger". The politics of the land are simple yet deep, betrayal, promises, looming threats, all make up this locations rich story and interacting with every corner was very fun. It being low fantasy (I think) I found the world really grounded and believable and the sytems and customs that evolved from this type of world felt perfect. The gameplay itself was satisfyingly challenging, you really can not wing it, well to a degree. My first run I tried to explore as much as I could immediately, to then run out of food, money, get attacked twice until my delusions of grandeur took me to another fight with a damn tiger, I swiftly died, made a new save, and took my time to build up my gear and weapons, and even still there was plenty of times I was sitting back thinking I should NOT have had those extra ration 2 days ago I am starving. Overall you gotta take your time with this game, learn about the land and most of all decide what kind of future you want for yourself and these people, hoping to any god that will listen for a sequel of some form!
It's a recommendation, but just barely. It's basically a choose your own adventure style game, with just enough content to keep it interesting for a couple of hours. There's a lot of reading that got too verbose at times. It seems kinda difficult to get a good ending, though, and I didn't feel there was enough reason to keep trying, as I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong.
i dont think ill ever be able to forget about this game. days and nights spent submerging myself into this world, a year later i still think of it, and just how much i miss experiencing it for the first time. its a gem in this time and day, a one-of-a-kind game that i recommend to all of my friends. everything, from the graphics to the soundtrack, was made with love, care and attention. give it a try, i promise itll be worth it!!
This game is hot cocoa on a cold winter night.
This game has so much going for it but it makes me quit in absolute disgust every time I try to play it. Filled with choose your own adventure turn to page 32 .... YOU DIED mechanics. Prompted for text entry to say what I want to investigate?! This isn't 1991, I'm not impressed with how many kilobytes of branching text you packed into this floppy. Don't make me guess your keywords at absolute random. The text is time consuming and rewarding, but then is paired with rogue-like mechanics that punish you and encourage you to start over. So tedious. Lack of controller support is obscene.
