This is a criminally underrated game, a true diamond in the rough. Of note, the level design is lovely, the aesthetics pleasant and even a little nostalgic to childhood wood tracks, and the music is absurdly good. There are some rough edges in usability (the devs probably didn't play any Zachtronic games, even though this game mostly remind me of that genre), such as no level save as you exit a puzzle, much less alternate puzzle save slots for multiple approaches, despite a high score table that ranks you on the competing measures of budget and traffic delivered. But these are nice-to-haves in a genre where the actual gameplay makes or breaks the game. And this game knocks it out of the park there. Each puzzle is clearly made with care, with a specific idea behind it, and the variety is great. There's a lot of them too - 10 hours in, I am in chapter 3, where the last game mechanic (elevation changes) is introduced, and that's without optimizing each puzzle solution. Do not miss.
I'm biased in favor of just about any game that involved building roads or railroads. This is a clever, well thought out test of your puzzle solving skills using road origins and destinations. The challenge is to use only the building elements given you. In the early levels, this means learning to understand how special element work with each other. I'm not the cleverest gamer, so it took me about four hours to get through ten levels after taking the minimal tutorials. All in all, it is worth your money and time just to try it out.
