Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 22.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

gud
Really liked Road 96 Why: The scenery, the art style, the music and so much more. Scenery was really beautiful, especially when i was on mountain peaks or even driving down a road. The art style was pretty cool aswell and it just fits so well. And i admit, the music kind of cringed me out a bit at first, but then it started to grow on me. The vibe of the game is also so insane aswell. Imagine your government being corrupted so you walk across Nevada with beautiful sunsets and nature. Thats Road 96 for you. And Road 96 isnt just a game for me, it was a lesson. It was a lesson on to be more understanding. To view situations from other peoples perspectives and not to act only out of my perspective. To be more understanding. To be more thoughtful. To be more.. considerate. So this game wasnt just a quick 11 hour experience, it was teaching me to sharpen my skills. To be more empathetic, especially. And in Road 96, you genuinely have to think about your response and how people might react to it. You have to be careful not to accidentally offend or anger people. And take whatever you want from this, but you have to be kind to get what you want. Obviously im not saying to be kind just for benefits or to even expect benefiting from it, but if your kind, people will be kind to you. So Road 96 to be classified as just a "video-game" is really underestimating it. However, if we're talking strictly from a video games sense, there couldve been a bit more to it. There couldve been more mechanics and I kind of wished that there was a bit more personal backstory to the teenagers instead of just a universal "government is bad lol". I wanted it to be like "well.. my parents are abusive, and the government is bad, so i might aswell just run away". So the game kind of focuses on the government in general and doesnt really dive deeply into the teenagers motives and perspective. Which, for me, ruins immersion a bit. This game is about trying to escape this country called Petria because the government is corrupted. You do what you can to escape, and you might die on the way or even get arrested. I would say in a sense whereas if you actually want to learn something, this is a solid 8.5/10. In a video-game sense, this is a 7.5/10.

Worth the price
It was an amazing journey with different characters, multiple choices and of course lots of unforgettable moments. It can be a bit difficult to get into at first because of its unique art style and simple graphics. But once you get used to it, the gameplay flows smoothly and you find yourself wishing it wouldn't end. I didn't expect such a small game to leave such a strong impression on me. Whether it's the story, the message it tries to tell, or simply the fact that every character has their own unique story/style. It's definitely a game worth trying. Overall a 8.7/10.
Political but not annoyingly so. Game changed me. USA 2030 vibes.
Just a fun game :)
i feel like if someone made the turkey version of this game they would be in trouble
A Journey About Freedom, Choices, and the People You Meet Along the Way Road 96 isn’t just a road trip — it’s a constantly shifting journey where every encounter feels like a small story of its own. From the moment you set foot on the highway, the game pulls you into a world that feels unpredictable, personal, and surprisingly human. The structure is what makes it stand out. Each run is different: different characters, different situations, different outcomes. You’re not following a single linear narrative, but rather piecing together a larger story through multiple perspectives. It creates this unique feeling that the road is alive, always changing, always ready to surprise you. What truly carries the experience are the characters. Every person you meet has their own personality, struggles, and motivations. Some moments are funny and lighthearted, others are tense or emotional, but almost all of them feel meaningful. Over time, you start to recognize faces, understand their stories, and build a connection that makes each encounter hit a little harder. The choices you make matter — not always in big, dramatic ways, but in subtle, cumulative ones. Whether you decide to trust someone, take a risk, or play it safe, the game constantly responds to your decisions. It’s not about “winning” or “losing,” but about shaping your own version of the journey. Visually, the game has a stylized charm that fits perfectly with its tone. The environments — deserts, forests, roadside stops — all capture that sense of being in-between places. Combined with a fantastic indie soundtrack, it creates an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and slightly melancholic. Gameplay is simple, but that’s part of its strength. It never gets in the way of the storytelling, instead supporting it through small interactions and moments of tension. The pacing flows naturally, alternating between calm reflection and sudden bursts of intensity. Road 96 is ultimately a game about movement — not just physically, but emotionally. It’s about leaving something behind, searching for something better, and discovering unexpected connections along the way. It’s not perfect, but it doesn’t need to be. What it offers is something more important: a journey that feels personal, memorable, and worth taking.
