Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 22.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An extremely uneven game that fell short of my high expectations. There is an interesting concept and some good ideas here that are being pulled down by mostly terrible voice acting and subpar writing. John and Jarod are the two notable exceptions, the latter being voice by Mikee Goodman of Disco Elysium fame. Although he has less stellar material to work with here. The minigames and puzzles also range from "filler" to dragged-out garbage (the acid trip sucks and lasts three minutes too long). There *are* positive qualities here, and despite my overall thumbs down it might still be worth trying if you can find it for very cheap. The art style is great. Music is also good, with a variety of genres that all fit the mood of their context. And the road trip *vibe* is often there, at least in the first half of the game. Certain individual scenes and moments show a glimmer of something that could have been greater, even in a sea of mostly rougher material. Gradually telling the stories of the cast via repeated encounters through the eyes of a bunch of nameless and faceless teenagers trying to cross the border is a new and interesting idea. I played the game for that reason, and I don't regret paying $3 for it even though most of it was a disappointment. They tried something here, even if it didn't always come off. The game has a certain charm to it, and combined with the unique concept that is worth a couple of bucks for me to try. If only the whole game was written and acted as well as the John character, we could have had something great here.

очень интересная игра с понятным сюжетом и простым геймплеем советую
Great little game. Played it in two sittings so it was not too long but somehow it felt longer, but in a good way. On sale it was way worth it.
Road 96 is an incredible experience. The story is gripping, the characters you meet along the way are unforgettable (I still have anxiety from Jarod), and the soundtrack is absolutely amazing. Every run feels unique and impactful. I do have to say, if it is not on sale, the story is a bit short for the money but if you love story-driven games and great music, you definitely need to play this!
Simple yet beautiful game, worth playing through at least once
its was calming pace ( except facing the jarod ofc xD ) but its low poly yet stylish style makes the game unique and fun to experience it. The multiple routes and random encounters to face. its takes a while but with multiple repeat with new teens, it feels so weird xD not to mentioned the cast members mentioned your previous teens, its nice little easters of your past walkthrough.
just the greatest game ever
