Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Smash but with good online. I love Rivals so much. Oh my sweet sweet Galvan <3
shark twink
Furry Super Smash Bros. and it's for the computer. A great way to bring Smash back in your life if you don't have or want Nintendo, and also Maypul is cute. :3
A far cry from the first entry. To begin it stutters on direct X 11 and 12. I could forgive that much if not for the creative risks the team took in implementing ledge mechanics, shielding, grabs, nerfing parries and punishing Orcane. Good lord what did yall do to my boy? I bought it on sale due to curiosity, none of my friends will touch it. All my personal qualms aside, this is frakensteins monster, it is a clutter of mechanics sewn together in a fashion that doesnt work. Rivals of Aether unfortunately beats the hell out of its successor. I had high hopes for this project. It looks ok, the artists did a good job, but this is too much like smash ultimate
I've played most of the Smash games casually with friends irl over the years, so it's great having access to a similar platform fighter with those same friends on Steam. That said, I actually like a lot of things about Rivals of Aether 2 *more* than Smash, which is something I can't say about a single other platform fighter that I've tried before. It feels snappier and faster, but also more accessible because there are fewer matchups, stages, etc. There is less overlap across characters, which makes each one feel stronger and more distinct. There are subtle QoL improvements and fun training modes. And I cannot stress how good the online feels, ESPECIALLY compared to trying to play a Smash game online on a Nintendo console. The devs' approach to content is also great, with most content being free. That includes each season pass being available for free and retroactively, so you can go back and farm skins from season passes you missed.
ok game but ledge grabing feels horrible
This game is a piece of ♥♥♥♥. You want to play a seemingly cool character? well turns out everybody else has broken ♥♥♥♥ that appeals to the sweaty melee scrubs who like jerking it to furry porn. Hey remember that fundamental fighting game rule that attacks beat grabs? well they don't only when its good for your opponent. Oh what you want to grab through an attack? well get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you you stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot, don't you know that attacks beat grabs you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid idiot cuck. I could develop this game 10000000000 times better than dan and his ♥♥♥♥♥♥ development team.
