A brutal godlike village sim that melds the god game, management, and tower defense genres! Fight off hoards of monsters at night, and expand your village in the day time. Inspired by games like Black and White, Rimworld, and Dwarf Fortress but not quite like any of them.

Rise to Ruins is a surprisingly coherent god-game of similar vein to Black & White - a game I enjoyed years ago. It mixes elements of turret defense with a city-builder and pseudo-RPG tropes, and I find the villager names quite entertaining at times. I smiled to see a woman named "Nobody Cares," and I also enjoy the pop culture references in names such as "Artemis Fowl" and "Jaqen H'ghar." There are a few game modes to choose, from sandbox to nightmare, so there's something for everyone to love whether they desire their villages to be peaceful or warlike. The game also has a skirmish mode, aside from its more open campaign map

One of my most favourite games! One of the few where i have brought it more than once when i found out i could get it through Itch.io. This game is wonderfully relaxing I highly recommend it to everyone!
Not for everyone but if you love it you love it. Ive enjoyed the growth the developer has put into this game from start till now. I would support them again if they would develop another game. True grit was given to bringing this game to where it is today.
Nota final: 9/10
This game is a waste of time. You can't defeat corruption, the achievement rewards are ultimately not very useful, and there is no ending. This game is unfinished.
A pixelated game when you played as a god trying to restore the village from ruins and defend against monsters who try to destroy your village once again.
its a classic style god game that has hours of content before completion ive followed this game from when it was a tiny indev game and the arc through time has really helped make this game into a proper casual experience
Early game is fun and interactive, late game is no fun at all. Dumb villager AI, Particle GORE, Difficulty spikes (AKA BLOOD MOON), trash mechanic (seriously?). Sandbox might be fun but that's not why we buy games like this, we buy them for the challenge, that of which this game has plenty at almost every turn. Between the UI and scaling to the difficulty. I tried hard to like this game but I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy it. Uninstall and forget.
A good fun village sim. It has a learning curve that can take a while to figure out but once you do its a delight to see your village grow and take shape.
