A brutal godlike village sim that melds the god game, management, and tower defense genres! Fight off hoards of monsters at night, and expand your village in the day time. Inspired by games like Black and White, Rimworld, and Dwarf Fortress but not quite like any of them.

I'm marking yes, but I'm EXTREMELY mixed. This is a genuine phenomenal game, there is so much good stuff stuff, but the creeping corruption and the shenanigans around it make this just not fun to play later game - and I don't want to turn it off or turn on peaceful mode because it gets boring. I love the thrill of the rush against the corruption to stave it off, and I love the building and city mechanics because it genuinely feels like you get somewhere after a couple hours of playing. But the moment you start pushing back against the corruption it feels like everything goes to ♥♥♥♥. It doesn't matter how many turrets you place, you with either run out of ammo or energy at SOME point, this is because the enemy's civilian units - at some point - always decide that their lives mean nothing, and decide to rush your city. THIS WOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE, but they do NOT stop spawning. It's a war of attrition that you will NOT win, because even though they don't do any damage they use your precious resources, and then when a skeleton or a fire elemental shows up, they'll just waltz in and destroy your defenses and a quarter of your town. Not only that, but corruption villagers make yours PANIC, meaning that if you're close to finishing say - a fire pit needed to wall off the corruption, but they keep SPAWNING OUT OF NOWHERE while you're don't, meaning you won't be able to.

Fun time sink, but as an achievement hunter it was disappointing that I had to earn the achievements 1 by 1 in a progression tree that didn't feel like natural progression towards the achievements.
Imagine a tower defense game but you arrive there a week before the enemies and have to run a colony to build the towers and sustain them. (Playing on "Traditional" difficulty) It's a pretty chill experience and great for listening to podcasts at the same time
Really interesting game, sort of in the Rimworld space (though they have little directly in common). Maybe better to compare it to a really complex tower defense game? It's pretty unique, and quite well done with a lot of strategic depth. Lots of "well, I did not think THAT through well" moments that keep me coming back to tweak my approaches to defense and the build-out of my colonies.

I bought this game years ago and never touched it until today. I'm pleasantly surprised to find its rather enjoyable and addictive. It functions much like Dwarf Fortress mixed with a bit of tower defense, and even a little bit like Majesty (Only slightly). I'm not sure how large the dev team is, but it took over a year to receive "Update 2", which does worry me a bit, considering that the game lacks content to some degree. I wish to see a bit more in the combat system, such as more combat units, more tiers of armor and equipment, etc. All in all, this game is doing everything "right" so far. I'm excited to eventually see the next major content update.
This is a massively good game. I've played sheetloads of Strategy games, and other puzzle-kind of games. This one is the best. Buy it now, you should. Get rekt x99 you will, n00b. But If you'll manage, you'll be satisfied, man. You'll sleep well that day, my dueds.
