A sci-fi colony sim driven by an intelligent AI storyteller. Generates stories by simulating psychology, ecology, gunplay, melee combat, climate, biomes, diplomacy, interpersonal relationships, art, medicine, trade, and more.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; GOG, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
Best game ever. Endless replay value and no run will ever be the same due to "storyteller" AI throwing things at you, and if huge modding community makes sure your game is always suited for your playstyle or you can just try out something new. There's a running joke among community that Rimworld is "war crime simulator" given Rimworld doesn't take itself too seriously but it's fairly complex in it's mechanics to keep you on alert. One of the rare games where DLCs are also completely worth it, they allow you to further shape your colony and are well integrated into main game.
I love rimming!

Latest in each market: best KR #35, worst BR #97 · 14 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 45.43/day in the week to Sep 15 → 53.43/day in the week after.
Of the 6 markets with a position on both sides, 6 climbed and 0 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 51.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 51.29/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 50.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 64.29/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 51.43/day in the week to Aug 6 → 60.86/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

cool
-"intelligent AI" storyteller -> throws 100 raiders on your farmers - pawn afraid of fire -> dumbly runs into said fire in fear; crawls back into it for good measure. - eats -> PTSD from eating without a table - attacked -> tells no one until the now dead soul magically send you their epitaph - food rationing -> will feed your most precious meals to prisoners - travel distance maximization problem -> always finds a near perfect solution - priority task because something MUST be done -> does a half job and leaves Does it generate stories? No, that's just stretching remarkably dumb AI using narrative fallacy and post hoc rationalization. My pawn did not die in flames because of some sad backstory, he died because he was afraid of fire and ran in a random direction that happened to be towards a visibly scary hot fire. More factually, the only story here is that of a lazy dev implementing the worst AIs possible that do not actively achieve the opposite of intelligence. Is this game fun? Most times. Is this game better than most similar games? Yes.
