the graphics is like a cartoon ans has your own merit, but the maps is so repetitive, seems to be playing a poor counter strike. The game level is not easy. approved, but is not a GREAT FPS game
Follow my curator page for more recommendations!
(TL;DR at the bottom) About two years ago I played the first RICO and didn't care much for it (see my review of it here). The guns felt floaty, the sounds were weak, the AI was awful, and the level generation wasn't enough to keep the levels from feeling extremely repetitive. Steam reviews for both games had left me under the assumption that the first game was superior in nearly every way compared to its sequel, RICO: London, so I didn't bother picking it up.. until now. I'm happy to say the gunplay in the sequel is vastly better, gun sounds are solid, there seems to be far more weapons available, movement feels good (I like being able to John Woo dive), and while the AI is still very barebones, you can at least ambush them if you find yourself in one of the very rare room layouts that allows it. They don't always know where you're at if they lose sight of you. Unfortunately level generation is about as bad as it was in the first game. You'll feel like you're going through the exact same tiny rooms over and over with very little variety. There's some nicer room types (like the small apartment with two floors, but it counts as one single room), but they're extremely rare for seemingly no reason. To add to this issue, each full level lasts WAY too long. The game shouldn't feel monotonous within the first 30 minutes of gameplay. After each level you'll be able to open a shop and choose from a few upgrades, weapons, and refill ammo/health/revives. There's a pretty huge issue here, though: You don't earn enough to buy more than one, maybe two things from each shop. On average I was earning 6 of the currency per level, but just refilling a TINY amount of my health cost all 6 points. The economy seems to be really unbalanced and poorly thought out. So, TL;DR: would I recommend RICO: London? I'm very barely leaning toward yes, only because compared to the first game this one at least felt better to play overall. The game hasn't had an update since September 2021 so this won't happen, but it'd be nice if the devs had shortened each level's length by a few rooms and increased the currency rate. Those two things alone would've made this a vastly more enjoyable experience. As it is, I'd recommend it in a deep discount, no more than about $5. Oh, also, why the hell is a game from 2021 not recognizing side mouse buttons when rebinding keys? C'mon.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

IST GANZ OKAY
If you can't get it for 1$/1 euro don't even bother. Main campaign, if you can even call it that, lasts for about an hour. And like I said, it can hardly be called 'campaign' as it basically has 5-6 levels, 3 comics-style cinematics and small dialogues before every mission. That's it. Apart from campaign, you only have the so-called 'Daily Play' which is basically the similar set of levels from the campaign (just with slightly different placement of rooms and enemies) without any story-telling. The amount of weapons for such a small game is ok, but the base price of the game is laughable at best. I got it from Fanatical with few different games and I still kinda regret that purchase.
Great stuff, as good as first. Id say i like this more than the first, and i played plenty of that.
I got this game in a bundle and I´m glad that I did not pay a huge amount of money for it. I´ts just disappointing. there is almost no story, no context. you just run around and shoot people. they all look the same and also the levels look the same. there are perhaps four or five rooms, that are glued together. you open a door and shoot the bad guys in slowmotion. then enter the next room, again slowmotion shoot the bad guys. then the next room.... and so on. after 5-7 rooms, you have seen all possible rooms of the level. it just repeats.... the rooms are absolutely identical, there is no variation. it looks like you´re playing a randomized mod. At first I thought there is a bug and was worried, my game could be broken, then I realized that this is the concept of the game. after entering the same rooms for maybe 5-15 minutes (depends on how you are rushing) you enter a staircase... there you can spend points for upgrades. after this, you enter the nex ´´level´´ with new random rooms that repeat permanently. I thought this i a bad joke. really disappointed... Hoped this would be somewhat like the great game XIII but yeah... It´s my fault. I should have informed myself better before buying.
