Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 27 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty fun goody lil game. It has its quirks, and lacks polish, but I think that's part of the charm. I've been playing the game since early access, and I'm in the process of checking out the 1.0 release- I can't wait to see the improvements! :D
Achievements suddenly stopped working. No explanation on how certain scratch cards work and lock an achievement behind playing the scratch cards. Not to mention that once I unlocked the last increase to building size my frame rates dropped significantly for some reason. The return box constantly breaks so employees cant rewind and restock videos. I don't see people returning the consoles that there "renting" or video games. Employees will constantly just stop working and stand in random spots shrugging their shoulders. Lots of stores that you can't enter or serve any purpose. Certain customers just arent progressing towards VIP status. I've restarted the game and have tried starting new games to clear certain bugs that I've mentioned above like achievements not tracking and its just seems like the files themselves get corrupted and I can no longer unlock achievements in this game. Really disapointed in the experience right now and hope the dev fixes it soon. This game shouldn't have come out of early access and while I was a pretty loud supporter at the beginning. I've since lost quite a bit of faith in the development team.

I don't know why everyone is freaking out about the update. The game was decently fun on release, but definitely buggy too. They released a few updates that expanded features, but there were still a few game breaking bugs. The game devs missed a few deadlines, and I was starting to worry they had disappeared. This new update fixed a TON of bugs. It sucks things had to get cut to push the update out, but I have a better feeling they should be able to add those other features back in the next few months without much problem now. I'd still avoid buying the game at the moment. Multiplayer is a big part of the attraction here, and although late game runs great now, it does feel a little hollow. This is something to wishlist or follow until a couple more updates roll out.
I've been playing Rewind 99 since Early Access, and overall, I really enjoy this game. The atmosphere, vibes, and whole video-store concept are a lot of fun, especially when playing solo or in co-op. There's something really satisfying about running the store, and I can definitely see myself continuing to play as the game gets more updates. That said, the game still has quite a few issues that can get frustrating. - Pros: Really fun to play both solo (and in co-op if you have a good group). The overall vibe and atmosphere of the game are fantastic. I've been playing since Early Access, so I've really enjoyed seeing how the game has developed. Huge props to the developers for continuing to update the game and work on fixing bugs and glitches. I'd love to see more VHS tapes featuring different movies in the future. More items to purchase, like snacks and other video-store merchandise, would be a great addition. - Cons: The game runs very hard on my PC, and I experience performance issues pretty much every time I play. There are quite a few glitches with customers using the self-checkout. Sometimes they'll just stand completely still and get stuck. Customers will occasionally enter the store even when it's supposed to be closed. Customers can glitch out when returning tapes outside and end up frozen outside for hours. The repo man doesn't seem to go after customers at their homes when they have overdue tapes, which makes dealing with overdue rentals frustrating. Unfortunately, my original save was deleted with the latest update, which was really disappointing. Overall, I think Rewind 99 is a really fun game with a lot of potential, but it feels like it needed a little more TLC before launching. The bugs and performance issues can definitely take away from the experience at times. I'm still giving the game a positive review because I genuinely enjoy it and I appreciate that the developers are actively working on improving it. I'm excited to see where the game goes from here, and hopefully we'll get even more tapes, store items, and improvements to the existing systems. Definitely worth keeping an eye on if you enjoy cozy/management games with a nostalgic video-store vibe.
The dev reached out to me from a mailing list and offered a game key. There was no content requirement for me to produce, nor did I receive payment to try it out. They simply said, "try it out, and if you feel it's right for your stream channel, we'd love for you to play it." I'm honestly surprised to see all the negative reviews. I had a really good time on stream, and my chat was having fun too. I did not play early access, so this 1.0 version was my first experience with the game, so I can't comment on any features that were removed. But the dev was very transparent in their initial email to me that multiplayer had been disabled due to some bugs, but that it would return later. In my five hours of play, there were only 2 moments where I noticed performance issues where the game would completely freeze, and then it would return to normal about 5 seconds later. Everything else ran very smoothly for me. As far as indie simulators go, I had a great time playing this one, and I'm excited to see where it goes from here after the devs take a look at constructive feedback.
Rewind 99 is the best game I have played so far. From the funny movie names, to the red button 👀😂 it’s all so amazing it has had me laughing through out the whole gameplay. I would recommend this game to all my friends ☺️✨
good sim, feels like it has some life with the character development with relationships but like how real can that be, collecting is alright, adverting is a cool feature, leveling felt slow, the enemy stuff can be confusing. 6/10 good friendslop not a solo game
Playing Rewind 99 genuinely gave me the feeling of running an old-school video rental store. The way the game delivers that 90s nostalgia, along with the music and art style, is really well done. At first I expected just a simple store management simulator, but once the open-world elements and extra details started opening up, I completely lost track of time while playing. The game becomes even more fun when playing with friends too. Since it’s still in early access, I did run into a few small bugs, but that’s normal for an early access game. Even in its current state, the game is already really enjoyable and has a lot of potential to become even better in the future. I definitely recommend it to everyone <3
The game does an amazing job making every small improvement feel rewarding. A simple upgrade can completely change how the store feels.
My quest log is getting bigger instead of smaller because I keep picking up new adventures along the way.
