Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 27 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You’re not just running a video rental store.
You’re running out of time.
RUN THE WORLD'S LAST VIDEO RENTAL STORE
You’ve inherited the last video rental store in town. You're broke, drowning in late returns, and streaming giant RentNet just opened across the street.
Run your store by day.
Do whatever it takes to survive by night.
The longer you stay in business, the more chaotic things become.
Order movies, snacks, toys, and rare collectibles. Stock shelves, manage customers, and expand your store from a dying shop into a thriving business.
Hire employees, automate operations, and optimize every inch of your store.
Every decision determines whether you survive another week.
Oh and did we mention we have PLENTY of store customization options?
The store alone isn’t enough.
Run underground fight clubs. Gamble on scratcher tickets. Install a claw machine. Take on shady side hustles across the city.
Some will make you rich.
Some will ruin you.
Produce and release your own original films to compete with RentNet.
Manage production, release films, and turn your store into something far bigger than a rental shop.
Explore a low-poly open city by foot or scooter. Discover secrets, track NPC schedules, and unlock increasingly dangerous and lucrative opportunities.
Run the store alone or with friends in co-op multiplayer. PLEASE NOTE: Co-op is temporarily disabled in the main build due to performance instability. Saves you create now will be co-op compatible when it returns.
To play co-op today, switch to the Legacy branch (right-click the game in your Library → Properties → Betas → "Legacy"), which runs the June build and your older saves.
Restoring co-op is our top priority. Timeline to follow here and in our Discord once 1.0 hotfixes settle.
Divide responsibilities, expand faster, and take bigger risks together.
Every asset, illustration, and piece of marketing was created by real artists.

4-player co-op enough said....
I can't really recommend it in the state it is at the moment, ran into 2 soft locking game bugs in 2 hours. also for some reason performance is pretty bad, this game doesn't seem too have any sort of culling. even on medium the most I can get was like maybe 42 FPS, constantly went down into the 30's. hopefully this game gets some well needed fixes and optimization, maybe this review can be brought back around. Otherwise it seems like a pretty fun game, I was enjoying it until it broke and I could no longer progress.
There was a time during early to mid 2010s where milennial culture boiled to "man, remembee POGS and Nickelodeon?? The 90s were SO much better..." This is like that but not insufferable and you're having fun running a store called f****t video and the whole town owes you money and teeth Its ofcourse in early access and is a little on the lighter side RIGHT NOW. But there's more than a solid base. Killer art design by the way.
It was cool at the release but now its garbage.. need new game save...
i lover this game. its a good time killer. but if you are anything like me. it is also very rage inducing. i leave my shop for 10 minutes to come and smack a few machines and collect over due tapes and come back to pure....CHAOS. the staff are putting popcorn on my bubble gum stand, the who of my horror section is just full of the rip off IT instead of split between the other films. Great game but OCD rage inducing.
As one of the supervisors I'm a little biased of Rewind 99, but trust me when I say this game is so fun. If you're a fan of simulators where you own a store like TCG Card Simulator, Waterpark Simulator, etc. then you're going to have so much fun with this game. And don't just expect the regular stuff, this game throws so many fun twists at you that you don't see coming! You can absolutely tell that they put a lot of love into this game.
I don't leave reviews, but this is absolutely one to watch out for after EA. I love this.
