Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.71/day in the week to Aug 7 → 26.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Working 9-5 just to make a livin... Fun, addictive, rewarding, peaceful and creative!! If you want to shut your brain off and have fun this is your game!! 8/10
it really brings you back (if you grew up in these times) so it was a lot of fun to play. i liked the whole idea of buying movies and setting them up. waiting for new releases. dealing with returns and cranky customers who don't want to pay late fees (sucks to suck). it was cool that certain genres were more popular during certain times and you had to meet "walter white" every tues and thurs night to get "special" movies :P

Pretty fun to play, relaxing and perfect to have a good peaceful time
Really enjoyed this game - became slightly repetitive and space was an issue but future updates will most likely address this. It's been a brilliant idea and as a millenial it hit me in the nostalgia feels multiple times.
It was engaging, but it also had a few shortcomings, which is why I can't give it a thumbs up. You'll hit, or get close to, max level within the first 2 seasons. But the game got all 4 seasons of the year with "Events" and "New Releases", so you'll continue playing without any sense of progression after that. As you'll also likely hit the store size cap shortly after. At which point, you just fill up the store and then you just do all the little chores/tasks needed to keep it running. The events are nicely themed and affects the shop and surrounding area cosmetically. But other than a % bonus to certain genres, that's all they do and I mostly ignored them after seeing the pretty decorations as they don't need any interaction of any kind. New Releases, I loved how they are parodies of old popular movies with fun spins on both their names and front covers. If you really want to be a completionist there are a TON of randomly-assembled titles you can collect, but seeing as every non-"New Release" movie is randomly made (Not using AI) I feel no sense of accomplishment collecting a list of random movie titles. If the developer couldn't be bothered to make them unique, why should I be bothered collecting them all? Obvs there are mods that add thousands of real movie titles and covers, but IMO it should've been the devs job to be a bit more original. There are also things I wish you could upgrade to make them more efficient as you played, or just simply QoL. And you don't get your second employee until lvl 20, which is near the end of progression. Speaking of employees, as a non-american, I'd rather have the opportunity to improve/train/upgrade my staff instead of checking the applicant list every day if there are someone I'd rather have and just firing my current staff. An annoyance through most of the game, minor, but still: You can pick up up to 10 different movies, but you put them back down in the opposite order from which you picked them up. Also, despite the game being sold as a complete game / full version, it's getting updates and features added as if it was an Early Access title.
I genuinely love Retro Rewind and have spent a lot of time playing it. Building the store, collecting movies, and expanding the business is incredibly satisfying. However, as someone trying to collect every movie in the game, I've reached a point where progression feels unnecessarily limited. The biggest issue is store space. No matter how carefully I rearrange my shelves and displays, there simply isn't enough room to showcase everything. A second floor, basement, storage expansion, or any kind of larger store upgrade would make a huge difference. Another problem is the movie release system. I've reached a stage where "new" movies being released are often titles that have already appeared before. Meanwhile, when I look at the collection list, there are still hundreds of movies I haven't obtained yet. It feels strange to keep seeing duplicate releases while such a large portion of the catalog remains unavailable. At this point, the game needs more late-game content and progression. Players who invest dozens of hours into collecting should have a realistic path toward completing their collection. I still highly recommend the game because the core concept is fantastic, but I hope future updates focus on expanding the store, increasing movie variety, and improving the long-term collecting experience.
Conclusion
I true relaxing gem! The concept is great! Having thing to work towards is so rewarding! The customers could use some movement work, other than that its going great! Long grind to additional help in the store. I'm hoping with leveling up I can increase the overall size of the store.
