I really need to be more selective when I say yes to free review copies of games. 😞 There is barely a game here. This feels like a student project that may have gotten a passing grade in a low level class, but was never polished properly for publication. The idea is good, and this game could become good, but only if it has a lot more work put into it. Right now it's basically the equivalent of a brainstorm. Most of the artwork appears to be AI slop. Fortunately, the developer(s) did disclose generative AI usage, for which I am grateful. I still don't want to play a game made by AI, though. If you have a lot of patience, you may find enjoyment in this game as it is now. For a low sale price, it could provide a couple of hours of semi-sandbox gameplay fun. Oh! The Monopoly Money was fun! I did appreciate that the cash in the game is Monopoly Money. Unfortunately Mr. Monopoly looks really wonky due to his AI rendering. But that was one little funny spark. Though note that you have to do math -- you are expected to count out real change, and if you live in a country other than America, or maybe Canada, you may not be familiar with the coins. This may be a pro for someone who is trying to learn how to count out money or use a cash register, though. Note: I attempted to play this game on Steam Deck, and it wasn't really doable. You at least need to play with a mouse and keyboard -- the game wasn't programmed for controllers. And yes, I received a free copy from the developers for my honest review. This is my very honest review.

This game could have a lot of potential, but as it stands right now, I didn't even get 2 hours out of it. I did receive the game for free, and enjoyed what I did play. However, there is disclosed use of generative AI for some art assets and it seems like a lot of the monster assets are HEAVILY inspired by another monster sim. And I mean heavily. Its a neat concept, but really not much else besides selling eggs, hatching and selling monsters, and having monster battles. The npcs don't have much variation outside of about 3 or 4 female models, which is a bit telling. Also some of the math for the change was wrong at times, where the npcs would short change you, however I was making more money that I knew what to do with because there really wasn't much to spend it on. Am I glad I played it? For free, yes. Will I play it again? Probably not unless they add a lot more content to the game.
Review Copy Received
Original Review Session Version 1.0 Date Played 09/01/26 Follow Up Post Hotfix 2 Version 1.0 09/11/26
TLDR:
Game is a 2 / 10 This needs a complete overhaul or introduction of new "end game" mechanics or you will have seen almost everything the game has to offer before the refund window is up.
Reviewing the Mechanics:
At time of review the game bills itself on the following description: "Sell magical eggs, hatch rare monsters, and build the ultimate monster shop. Collect valuable creatures, set your prices, grow your business, and expand your store." Breaking down each selling point - Sell Magical Eggs Yes the game centers around selling eggs, you purchase them in crates of 6 or 12 and pop them on a shelf to sell. Pricing is similar in mechanic to Card Shop Sim where you have a Market price and you can reprice to Market Price, go up or down 10%, and round to the nearest dollar. - Hatch Rare Monsters The second aspect to this shop game is the function of taking individual eggs and opening them up to get a monster. You can display the monsters in the yard to the side of the Shop. The yard starts off with 3 slots and gains an additional 2 slots per "upgrade" (Which consists of breaking an additional fence down in what looks like a fence maze). The monsters that appear are randomized models and names based on their "element type" that can have modifiers such as Prismatic to indicate it's more valuable. Pricing structure is the same as the egg pricing as seen above HOWEVER if you find a duplicate monster you have to price it as an individual unique unit instead of remembering the last price you set. - Build the ultimate monster shop The building aspect is reduced to knocking down sections of wall 1x1 at a time similar to Card Shop Simulator expansion, knocking down 1 fence in a field of fences to expand the monster display, and placing 1 of 4 types of furniture: Monster Cages - Where NPCs will randomly fight other NPCs (The monsters stand and maybe have a small animation) and you get money for them completing a match. There is only 1 type of cage. Shelving - Either Floor or Wall Shelving to display eggs for sale. Total of 18 Cash Registers - Just different color register stations. Total of 6 Decor - This ranges from small plants, random paintings, random framed squares of color?, a few rugs/mats, some clocks. Total of 75 - Collect valuable creatures, set your prices, grow your business, and expand your store. So everything listed above is what you can build for your store and the final components that were not mentioned, you can check out your customers at the register, eventually hire workers to either check out customers at the register OR stock shelves (there is nothing else you can tell them to do) trade once or twice per day with a random NPC that will come to the counter (They can either sell rare eggs or monsters OR they can ask to trade for monsters you may have). Finally you can dictate cage fight "Daily Tournament" rules and "Monster League"... The problem with these 2 segments are you are completely reliant on "Daily Tournament" to augment pricing of either eggs or monsters similar to Card Shop Simulator's Daily Events to dictate card pricing and pack pricing OR "Monster League" which simply has a cash prize for those who participate, You may ask why did I cover every single one of these sections... It's because that is all you can really expect out of the game in regards to your daily activities. Your form of progression is getting levels to expand the store bit by bit and your form of income is simply more types of eggs. There is a grand total of 6 types of egg packs you can purchase: Forest, Frozen, Fire, Desert, Water, Darkness. You can either buy a pack of 6 or pack of 12 to put on shelves OR you can buy a box of 2 packs or a box of 4 packs of 6 eggs (Ya I know how stupid that sounds). You can sell the "egg packs" only if you buy a box which the "egg" pack acts as nothing more than a "booster box" in other games. You really have no other forms of "progression" or sense of working towards an end goal outside of just getting these 6 types of eggs. The egg types can all be obtained within the first 5 days of the game. Hiring employees really just reduces your role to almost nothing as you will find yourself sitting and watching the activities of weirdly lit anime girls with various animal ears or tails slowly walk in either to buy an egg, a monster you have set in your garden, or wait at a cage to fight. Somehow, being almost similar to other shop simulators, and feeling almost 1 to 1 with card shop simulator, the game feels way to lacking on anything to actually accomplish. Having hired 3 employees by day 6 I have spent my time simply sitting outside in the Garden watching the same NPCs come in and reading the same reviews from the "review app" in game, "4 Stars In and out no issues from shelf to checkout great experience" "4 Stars from browsing to paying, it all went perfectly, thank you!". There doesn't seem to be any push back and contention unless I price something a bit too high (they give a bar to show how overpriced you are making a product). For 7 days I spent my time the same way, flip on the giant lever to say "Store Open" flick a light, grind the cash register for the first 3 days until I got an employee, and stock eggs. 2 Hours in I had realized I had seen everything there was to see with the games progression. The only thing that would be left was literally filling my collection book of every single type of monster. The problem with filling that book is you cant actually hold all of the monsters... you have a series of cages that hold 32. That's it... if you were hoping to physically collect every single monster and have a copy of each one you are restricted from even doing that. Your only reliance on you collecting is an encyclopedia telling you if you have identified the monster or not... not like you could do anything with the monster like battle with customers... or even display them without putting them for sale... they just exist to sell. So the one hope for some kind of long term goal, which would have been collecting, the thing that helps to keep these games cross past the threshold of just running a basic shop, is completely absent from the game, minus an encyclopedia indicating you already saw that monster.
The Good
Quirky Anime style ladies as your customers Concept of collecting monsters and selling eggs Easy sorted encyclopedia to let you know what is missing
The Bad
Progression System feels empty and lacking Side content outside of hatching eggs and selling eggs feel non existent Management of employees fall under "run register" or "stock shelves" Monster Collecting relegated to 32 spots in your inventory Trading and Exchanges happen to infrequently Lighting and Textures, while endearing, feel flat and uneven 1 Single Music Track during work hours NPC Logic feels inconsistent (Checkout prioritizes 1 register instead of spreading customers out) Lack of variety of things to sell in the game outside of just more monsters and eggs (could have added anything like peripherals related to the care of monsters)
Final Thoughts:
The game lacks direction and polish. Omitting any potential bugs or even the janky nature of the models and the monsters, this game is severely lacking on a satisfying progression and content loop. This is clearly an attempt to copy existing games which have the progression formula a bit more ironed out such as "Card Shop Simulator" but completely misses the mark on what makes the game worth playing for more than 2 hours. Without a major overhaul on progression and "end game" mechanics or the ability for heavy modding I don't see this game surviving. There are too many inherent design flaws that make the experience very shallow and uninteresting.
Fun and addictive shop sim. Definitely worth checking out!
The game breaks when buying the fire egg multipacks, once placed, every multipack becomes Fire, skipped straight to Dark Eggs and sold creatures for a ton of money from opening the eggs alone and nearly finished the game in under a few hours which feels like it breaks the pacing.
It's a slop game that I put way too many hours in for some ungodly reason. In what universe would I ever want to give someone $8,537 change in increments of $50 at a time? This among too many other dog water things to list is why I could never recommend this game.
Im Vergleich zu anderen Shop Simulatoren macht das hier echt süchtig. Das Spiel läuft einfach gut, und Sachen wie die Käfigkämpfe sind echt cool. Macht richtig Laune.
Fun relaxing easy to learn game. I like the looks of the NPC'S Fox girls and Elf girls, the monsters look cute. For the price its worth a go.
While this is a cute and casual game, I cannot at present recommend it as there are too many game-breaking bugs (based on personal experience, as well as multiple threads I've perused). Pros: Cute simplistic shop sim gameplay Cute monster models Simplistic UI and gameplay Cons: Various game breaking bugs (customers can get stuck at counter mid transaction and you cannot cancel or restart a transaction, so it holds up the line and prevents you from closing shop for the day). Repetitive Gameplay. I've played a lot of sims like this (for example, Table Battle sim), and in these collector sims, you're allowed to collect yourself and also engage in battles with customers. In this game, you can only watch the customers do this. Without an "unstuck" or way to fix game breaking bugs, I'd probably have to start a new game all over from the beginning after hours of gameplay. Fix the bugs and diversify the gameplay (creature collecting for the owner and the ability to cage fight with customers yourself), and I would then recommend the game. It is not bad for the price, it's just frustrating getting locked out due to a bug.
Totally not recommended. 1. Game-breaking font bug: Kanji characters appear as boxes ("□") in Japanese, making it unplayable. 2. The tutorial is awful and provides almost no guidance. 3. Dated visuals: Character models look like they're from the 2000s with stiff animations, and there's barely any customer variety. 4. Suspected asset slop / asset flip.
