Restaurant Empire II

Overall Rating: 7.5 / 10 Restaurant Empire 2 is a true classic in the restaurant management genre. While it's true that the game is getting a bit old and its visuals/engine show its age, it is absolutely worth playing if you enjoy deep simulation and management games. Behind its casual look, there is a very solid layer of strategy. It’s not just about cooking; you have to carefully design the layout of your restaurant, place kitchens and restrooms efficiently, balance menu prices, analyze applicants' stats and wages to hire the right staff, and manage your overall business growth. Every decision matters to make your establishment profitable. I played hundreds of hours of this game back in the day on its original non-Steam Spanish version, and now over 30 hours here on Steam. Honestly, I haven't run into the bugs that some people mention—for me, the core experience has always been smooth and deeply enjoyable. My only real disappointment with the Steam release is the lack of Spanish language support, which was available in the original release and I really hope the developers consider bringing back. Despite that, it remains a hidden gem that deserves more love and recognition. If you enjoy classic strategy and management games, give it a chance. Highly recommended!

Released at the height of the Tycoon came craze, the game play and graphics are what you'd expect of a restaurant management game of that era. However, Restaurant Empire 2 adds additional RPG-like elements, such as it's engaging story-line throughout. If you enjoyed titles like Pizza Tycoon or Lemonade Stand, I think you'll really enjoy this one. I'd wait til it's on sale to purchase, though.

Leaving a negative review because the game got recently updated after not being touched since 2015, only to replace all the artwork on the Steam library with AI-generated garbage. Why do it now? People who see this game for the first time will see the ugly AI artwork and not even bother touching the game, so all this does is paint you guys in a bad light. Will gladly remove this review if the devs reconsider and bring back the original art. Old games like this should be preserved, not retroactively updated with lazy, lame genAI. (also for clarification I already owned the game before getting it on Steam (before the AI stuff got added), in case you're wondering about the short playtime).

This is my childhood game and I'm still playing it at 29. I wish the Dev would fix it a lil bit there's a lot of bugs like the employee not working correctly, not enough guidance on how to increase the food quality ect. I still love it!

Old, but basically better than any restuarant game. Actually interesting and challenging

I've played this game off and on since it came out. Although I would like to see some improvements, I still think it's a very good game!
