Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Decent game. Wasn't a fan of the shifting camera angles, even though I know it was a limitation of the technologies of the time. A bit frustrated because I couldn't save Rebecca and Jill due to being hard-locked and not making additional save slots. Lays the foundation for classic survival horror, I can see and appreciate the improvements made for future RE games.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 17.63/day in the week to Jul 21 → 20.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Loved the puzzles the ambience and everything, best remake
This game was pretty fun but for me it was a pretty up and down ride. This would be my second survival horror so I'm not completely foreign to the genre but I had like 2/3 points where I had absolutely no idea what I needed to do to continue. Had no idea that the "coin" would turn into a key with a simple examine. I looked all over the place for a second part that would slot in but you just had to look at it. Also, had no idea at all that I was supposed to double crank the pool water to access the new area. That being said I did enjoy the ambience, tone, resource management of this game. The story wasn't too bad either. I had my issues with Jill being so forgiving with Barry though. He left her in the dust in an elevator scene and pointed a gun at her at one point. He was super helpful throughout the game though so I guess that was supposed to let the player know that he wasn't truly against you. I could've used more details about Umbrella and what they were up to. They were probably leaving it up to the sequels but I'll give my star rating based on just this individual entry. Pretty fun game, maybe would replay it for Chris :)
decent
This game is an absolute masterpiece. It's perfect in my eyes. As my first experience with the RE series, this was great, the puzzles, the characters, the lore and the absolute terror you feel whenever you encounter a boss or a Crimson Head is just amazing. This might be one of the best gaming experiences I've had in all my life. It's a big 10/10, can't think of one bad thing about this game (maybe those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bees and crows are the only bad thing I can think about)
