In the facility, each step, each shot, each mistake costs precious energy. Rendered entirely in black and white, this mystery can be unravelled. The puzzle can be solved. Don't ask who tried to solve it before. Do the job. Find oxygen and sleep. Go deeper. And don't ask about Aaron.

About

Are you sleeping on the job again?
It's your first day at [the company.] You've been tasked with recovering damaged oxygen tanks scattered throughout the facility. Don't ask what they're for. Don't ask where they came from. Aaron used to do the same job. Don't ask about Aaron. Focus on Cynthia: She's kind to you, isn't she? Doesn't she care?
Is anything on the dead internet worth saving?
Every frame of REPOSE is meticulously hand-crafted pixel art. The atmosphere assembled with sharp focus on every detail. Every moment of gameplay methodically built to maximize tension and intrigue. What is this place? The facility just keeps going down and down.
Are you going to find any answers once you reach the bottom?

Reviews
(my playtime is probably double what is shown here; I played on Steam Deck away from a wi-fi connection for a good while) It took me a bit to get on this game's wavelength and see past some of the confusing design decisions (chiefly the disorienting choice to make certain things visible from all angles if you're near them; why can I stand in place near a bed and spin in a circle yet always see the bed in the foreground?). But I'm really glad I stuck with it. Don't think of this as a horror game, or even really a survival game. I finally clicked with it when I realized it's a puzzle game. Every level is simply a riddle to figure out how to preserve enough energy to reach the exit. Once I realized that economy of movement/actions was the ONLY thing that mattered, I finished Repose at a galloping pace, enthralled. There's a thrill to looking at the map and realizing you still have 28 steps, and MIGHT be able to make it to the computer to unlock a door as long as you can sidestep any hostiles along the way without needing to use your gun and lose precious steps... Cool idea, well-executed.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really cool puzzle/dungeon crawler game with a unique vibe.
Super fun and unique little experience. Has a very basic yet super fun gameplay loop and a pretty straightforward story, but also some great worldbuilding and a very unique atmosphere. My only complaint is that it is a little short on runtime, but it uses that time super well, does not have any fat on its bones which makes it a great time. I was actually surprised when it ended so quickly (even after the third ending) and it wasn't until I saw my play time was 2 and a half hours that I realised how engrossed I was in it that the time really just flew by. Maybe not worth quite full price at that runtime but a super great pickup if you can get it on sale.
a very interesting existential experience. Reminded me a bit of the old game "Journeyman Project" with how you move about the world, and the concept of having to navigate the maze like world in a limited amount of moves adds a bit of methodical difficulty. the surreal story was pretty decent as well. it's a short story, but worth a play.
