About

Jack's monkey has escaped holdings and has thrashed the store. Now he needs you to sleeve all the vinyl records into their jackets and then restored back to their correct musical genre's storage crates!
The monkey (named after Jack himself) got his hands on all 20 genres of vinyl records, and has tossed hundreds of vinyl records and their jackets all over the place!

Re:Store the Record Store is an atmospheric sorting game set in a cozy indie vinyl record store.

Featuring over 1000 vinyl records and jackets to pick up, sleeve and resorted back into the crates where they belong! A day-night cycle alters the shop's atmosphere. Take your time sorting and storing the records! It's not a game to rush through. Or you could if you want to, with abilities such as Genre Glance, Crate Chaser and more!

Pick up vinyl records and jackets in first person perspective, slide the vinyl satisfyingly into the correct jacket and then put them back into crates. Made a mistake? You can extract the sleeved vinyl as well!

Key Features:
Zen Sorting Gameplay: Over 1000 objects to wade and sort through! Get them all back where they belong with no time limit.
Humorous Details: Discover punny artist and album names. Every single album's artist name, album name, and jacket art are hand crafted to be as silly or as cool as possible!
Interactive objects: There's a cool looking gramophone on the counter top! It must have been placed there for a reason.
Hidden secrets: The game doesn't end at sorting all the vinyl records, there are additional things to do to get Steam achievements. What are they? You're gonna have to play and find out!

I'm sorry to say, while this game seems to have a lot of potential, I just don't enjoy it. The matching an album to a sleeve before I can file it is overwhelming. I wanted to be able to just pick stuff up and categorize it. But that's just a personal preference, that might not bother everyone. There also needs to be access to settings from the game and not from the main menu with separate volume controls for different sounds. Let me turn the music down alone. And the loud clomping of footsteps was also very overwhelming. It sounds like the character is stomping their feet every time they take a step. It's too loud. I had to exit the game for a bit, as well, and when I loaded it back up I had my hands full of albums and sleeves and when I went to try to put them down or away the keys didn't work. I had to start a new game because it just broke. There's a lot of work that needs to be done, here. I just can't enjoy it as it is.
I like the concept but atm it has a lot of issues for me. The store is cramped and hard to move in sometimes, the game crashes every time i hit the escape key, and as far as i can tell the skills are locked behind collectible items and there are no upgrades. I'd say give it a little while to fix the major issues before buying/playing.

I enjoyed the premise is the game and it looked to be fun. And it was until I accidentally TWICE reset the game because the default option is to start a new game rather than continue. It does make you clarify that you actually want to start over but I've managed to quickly double click and reset it both times. My other issue with the game is that the second time through I got almost to the end and had about 10 of the slip cases and no records to put in them. I decided to exit the game and reenter and that is when I accidentally started a new game for a second time. There is also no option that I saw to click that would rescatter all the unused pieces like most of these games have. It would have brought back those records that glitched through the floor.
It probably should have been tested a bit more before releasing with UI bugs and fatal crashes, but the atmosphere and dedication this project has from the dev makes me believe in it. If it's true no AI was used and all of these albums were made by hand? You can only do that from a place of love. Will keep playing!
Game did not run to capacity. Escape key locks or crashes the games. Sometimes your 'saves' would not even load at time. gave the game the benefit of the doubt and tried to beat it in one day, the vinyl disc GLITCHED INTO THE FLOOR. This game is incomplete and needs major updates. I was super excited for this one, since I own actual vinyls and loved the idea of re-sorting vinyls.
i enjoy this game alot, its one of the only recently released organizing games that are good quality,,, and that doesnt use ai. my only grievance is that the game is ultimately unplayable, as when i tried to reload my save file it would get stuck on the loading screen forever, so i made a new save file, but whenver it popped up a tutorial screen it wouldn't let me press anything to continue, please fix this soon i really want to play this </3
Sadly, I can't recommend this at the current state, Collision issues, lighting issues, far too demanding perfomance-wise for what it is. Saves crashing and softlocking cost me a couple of hours of progress, only for collision issues to cost me the no skills used achievement. The developer seems to care so I don't want to rub salt into his wounds, but this is not in a playable state at the moment. The idea is there bt the execution isn't
I just played the whole thing despite the crashing when I press ESC, no way to adjust settings while in the game and I have 3 sleeves with no records in sight. I even did the X-Ray and nothing shows up. Plus there are tons of "Tester" records left over from build. It's sloppy to say the least.
Unable to turn music off, i switched all the sound off in volume it still played.
