Learn to fly r/c model airplanes with this realistic flight simulator! RC-AirSim has been used successfully by many r/c pilots to learn how to fly a model airplane. RC-AirSim has more realistic flight dynamics and ground handling than most of the much more expensive r/c airplane flight sims.

Difficult to set up controller (Interlink elite), unable to delink throttle from rudder, rudder control deleted to allow flying in 3 channel mode - elevator, aileron, throttle, so not steerable when taxiing.
Dint have a TX that worked with PC, but this works great with xbox controller. You get what you pay for, well worth the money, Id love a 6 axis gyro since that pretty standard.
oddly addicting

At 7 dollars, this is pricey given the fact that there are better games. The one thing I really like is the wide range of model airplanes (and different physics!) But everything else is.. Well, it feels more like a demo for a full-featured game than a sim in and of itself. I'm not complaining about a lack of air-combat (I don't think anyone is advertising this) But the game world is so tiny that it makes any sense of excitement just vanish. Go past the trees and you are flying into the mist, with no level to land on. Something contrived like making lightning strike the airplane when outside of boundaries wouldn't be fun, per say, but more fulfilling. The planes are cute, even if they could be in a 2000 era game. The environment..well, the trees are clearly photographed, so they don't lack detail, but are stretched around in a ray-casted manner. Perhaps the barn graphic is a polygon (with flat textures around it) but when I try to go low enough to fairly assess the technology, my plane crashes. I don't think it will be long before someone makes a kite simulator, but with this company, the sim can only go "up" from here.
very nice simulator
Not worth the money, there are better options for free. There is no map, just a square box with walls of tree textures. Graphics is almost non-existent.
This is a really good RC plane sim. Could use more maps though. And planes.
add more maps
