About
An Other Golf Game is an open-ish world sandbox life sim with survival, permadeath, and, golf. You’ll have to figure out how to make money, navigate the world, and survive long enough to hit the course. There are no tutorials, and no hand-holding. When you die, you start over.
Expect to be beaten by the game many times before you beat the game.
Expect to get lost when trying to find the golf course, then getting lost again when you try to go home.
Expect to be confused about how to take clubs out of your bag once you put them in.
Expect to be frustrated that you can't hit a ball when you are not looking at it.
Expect to treat some aspects of the game as a puzzle.
Expect to not know where the save locations are.
Expect to be bad at golf unless you make an effort to learn the mechanics and try to improve, there is a driving range after all.
Expect to figure out how to find and complete odd jobs just to afford more clubs so you can eventually build a full set.
Expect to shank it and subsequently wasting time looking for your ball in the tall grass.
Expect stupid high medical bills, welcome to the US.
Expect having to figure out how far you hit the ball and doing some basic math to determine which club is the right choice for the current situation.
Expect the usual early access quirks like weird Unity physics, janky moments, and frustrating deaths.
Expect a unique, extremely challenging golf experience that takes a long time to master.
This is a passion project created by a solo developer who has worked various jobs at golf courses, from washing carts to caddying and everything in between. If you're interested in a life sim golf game that attempts to truly capture the frustrating essence of golf, this one might be for you.
I encourage you to join the discord or post in the Steam forums if you have any questions or want some help. Like golf, this game is purposefully not easy and attempts to align more to what the real golf experience is truly like. If you have any questions, reach out, I am happy to push you in the right direction.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this game. It’s incredibly buggy, to the point where it’s almost unplayable. Crashes, glitches, and broken mechanics are everywhere. The devs clearly rushed this out, and it shows. But what’s worse is that this feels like a complete rip-off. You’re paying for a product that barely functions, with zero quality control. It’s frustrating and honestly feels like a scam. Don’t waste your money on this; there are much better games out there that actually work and deliver on their promises.
Golf with a whole lot of other stuff you have to do before you can actually golf. This is a game where it is up to the player to figure stuff out, there is no hand holding and most tasks you will fail before you succeed. But the success is a wonderful feeling. Sort of like golf, its not easy and and will require practice. When that practice pays off and you finally nail nice putt or a good tee off the feeling is wonderful. Please be aware that there are many things that will kill you and delete your progress but remember that the real progress is what you learn irl. It takes very little time to return to the course after death, don't give up!

Hello, the game is clearly very badly made, there are refresh slowdowns worthy of the 80s, I do not recommend it at all! Good luck! hihi
You don't have to golf 10/10
I don't know what you call the "My Summer Car" like-unity-jank-genre and I realize it is not for everyone. The good ones have meticulous detail and generally a permadeath system with limited saving opportunities. That's what you have here. Why put yourself through it? Just as golf rewards patience, I get the same vibe from this game. The world is lovingly crafted and exploring is fun. The golf mechanics are good and do not feel rng but an issue of skill that can be developed if you have that patience. If you like immersive sims like My Summer Car, Mon Bazou, etc., and think golf might be more fun than building cars this is a fun one to check out, but be warned it is no arcade (though I hear the Soggy may get one in a future update). I hope the dev can continue this project with updates, but it is a recommendation as is and particularly at the price point. If feasible, a caddy job would be really fun. PS - beware of trash bags in or around vehicles
A great life simulator centered around golf. No hand holding or lil baby tutorials, which I appreciate, because ya know..... I'm not a baby gamer. Work, save them sawbucks, flirt with the cart girl, buy some sweet shiny clubs and beer, then hit the greens! You can tell it is a passion project form the dev, who is in tune with the community and uses player feedback to improve upon the game. Excited to see where this goes!
A game made with heart and inspiration from My Summer Car. It's a life sim that treats the golf game as a challenge to figure out. You'll need to practice before hitting the links for even a reasonable score, but make sure youve got some SLARP! and CheezTubez It's very early but the games world has the bones for expansion and more gameplay elements. Excited to see what comes as early access progresses. Game is still very early and things that you may not expect to kill you, will; tasks can take alittle figuring out. It's a great base for expanding an early access game and is one of those games that takes awhile to cook. Excited to see where it goes .
amazing, if your a weirdo that likes these kinda games then your going to love this one because its spot on. its the most accurate game about actually golfing, not just hitting the ball. but having to actually drive the course, find your ball, hit on the cart girl and talk to the weirdo that runs the shop/bar just to buy a sub par hot dog. the true golf experience.
i love this game and its only going to get better!
This game makes me epileptic!!
