I'm pretty sure I found this game by accident, but it's a happy lil accident for a happy lil game. This is a pretty small game so my review will be shorter than my others. Raining Blobs is a puzzle game that is akin to Puyo Puyo meshing with Puzzle fighter. You will connecting blobs to each other and the only way to pop them is to have two star icons be in the connecting blobs. This means you can make some pretty fun combos and explosions if you get you placement right. It's very easy to pick up and play. The game comes with four modes: Arcade is a standard play alone or against AI for high score. Tournament is the "story mode" which is pretty bare bones, but finishing it unlocks costumes and a character upon completing it. Endless mode is...well...endless mode so you can just play until you lose. And puzzle mode is you trying to full clear a stage with a set amount of moves. For such a small game, there is plenty to do. My gripes with this game are that even though you can set up to 16 players to fight simultaneously, this game only has couch co-op. You can circumvent this with remote play, but it could desperately use an online mode. Second, being that this is also a mobile game, it's very bare bones in its design. Characters are just flat drawings that lack substance or "omph". The stages and music are pretty alright though surprisingly. Final verdict? If you're looking for a fun puzzle game to play with a couch buddy or against the AI, this is not a bad game to add to your library. However, I recommend getting it on sale as there really isn't much here to warrant a 10 dollar purchase. I say it's worth more like 5 or less. Thanks for reading!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very good game, Reminds me a lot of Puyo Puyo but can only clear a chain whenever the same color has 2 stars. I really recommend it if you like Puyo Puyo

Game description key-points: welcome to a `90 console game. Overview: a very poorly made pixeled game, alike Tetris, but with falling colored bobs. copy-cat of Puyo Puyo, but doesn`t stand near that fun. Best use is a local tournament. However no joy from visuals and game-play.
Raining Blobs, developed by Endi Milojkoski and published by Plug In Digital, is a colorful arcade puzzle game that builds upon the classic falling-piece formula while introducing mechanics that give it its own identity. At first glance, it resembles familiar titles in the falling-block genre, but it quickly distinguishes itself through a chaining system that emphasizes planning and timing as much as reflexes. The central objective revolves around arranging falling colored blobs into groups and strategically linking them to special star-marked pieces to trigger clears. This added layer transforms what might otherwise be a straightforward matching game into a more deliberate and tactical experience. The core gameplay is fast and fluid, requiring players to think ahead while reacting to the constant stream of descending pieces. Unlike traditional match-three systems where simple adjacency is enough, Raining Blobs demands careful setup. Players must construct chains of matching colors and then connect them to a star blob to eliminate the entire group. This two-step clearing process encourages foresight, as poorly positioned chains can clutter the board and limit options. Successful cascades feel particularly rewarding, especially when multiple chains collapse in rapid succession, sending waves of points and satisfying visual effects across the screen. The game offers several modes that expand its appeal beyond simple survival challenges. Arcade and Endless modes focus on high-score chasing, with difficulty escalating steadily as blob rain intensifies. Puzzle mode shifts the tone, presenting predefined board states that must be cleared within certain constraints, adding a cerebral twist that rewards methodical problem-solving. Tournament mode introduces competitive structure, allowing players to face off against AI or human opponents in a bracket-style format. These varied modes ensure that the game does not rely solely on one gameplay style, giving players multiple ways to engage with its mechanics. Multiplayer functionality is one of Raining Blobs’ strongest features. Local multiplayer supports multiple participants, making it well-suited for shared-screen competitive sessions. Matches become intense and strategic as players attempt to outlast or overwhelm opponents by executing efficient clears. The psychological aspect of multiplayer—anticipating an opponent’s next move or timing a large chain to disrupt their board—adds a layer of tension not present in solo play. Leaderboards further enhance replay value, encouraging players to refine their techniques and compete for higher rankings. Visually, Raining Blobs embraces a bright, anime-inspired pixel art style. Character portraits and colorful interface elements frame the puzzle grids, giving the game a playful personality. The art direction leans into retro charm rather than high-definition realism, complementing the arcade roots of the gameplay. Animations are lively, with energetic effects accompanying large chain reactions. The soundtrack reinforces this upbeat tone, featuring lively music tracks that match the increasing pace of falling blobs. Sound effects provide clear feedback for matches and chain reactions, helping players stay engaged during high-speed moments. Despite its strengths, Raining Blobs can present a learning curve for newcomers unfamiliar with its specific mechanics. The requirement to connect chains to star blobs for clearing is not immediately intuitive, and early sessions may feel overwhelming as players adjust to the flow of gameplay. However, once mastered, the system reveals satisfying depth and encourages experimentation with more complex chain setups. While the visual embellishments add charm, they are largely cosmetic and do not significantly influence gameplay mechanics. Overall, Raining Blobs stands as a well-crafted entry in the arcade puzzle genre. It respects the foundations laid by classic falling-block games while introducing its own strategic twist through chain-based clearing mechanics. With multiple modes, competitive multiplayer, and a vibrant presentation, it offers both casual enjoyment and serious score-chasing potential. For players who appreciate quick-thinking puzzle challenges and the thrill of building elaborate chain reactions, Raining Blobs provides an engaging and replayable experience that balances accessibility with meaningful depth. Rating: 7/10

I mean.. I'll give it a yes for the number of players it supports. Can't say I found it fun though.
