A very fun arcade game for the high score junkies! Once all the mechanics click you will have a hard time putting it down, "just ONE more attempt, this one will be the one!", and you'll be stuck playing it for hours The arcade presentation is also extremely nice!
Cute arcade game where you need to avoid waterdrops and get to the goal. If you meet the requirements you will get different badges, each with different bonuses that will help you in your run. In fact, these badges will encourage you to play in a certain style, like catching a number of stars before getting to the goal or just getting to the goal as fast as possible. Finding out how to get them all is really fun. There's also other game modes that I have yet to try, so the replayability is huge outside of just chasing a new high score. By the way, the beautiful artwork was made by the developer's wife. Wholesome :)

This game has a lot of polish for how tight it is. Timing your slo-mo is very satisfying, and the scoring system still has me trying to plan my strategies to get the most out of a sub-2-minute play session. And it's cute! It ate 10 hours of my life in a single week.
A good example of the power of classic arcade design. Simple on the surface but opens up as you get to know its various nuances in mechanics and scoring due to its well thought out and intelligent design. Like a lot of good Japanese games, the system gives the player a lot of minute control to allow for greater skill expression and game feel, but then uses that freedom to not be afraid to press against the player with a rapidly demanding difficulty curve, strong risk-reward systems in survival and scoring, and strong player limitations, somewhat similar to a Japanese bullet hell. In Raindrop sprinters, that high degree of player control mainly hinges on the time slow mechanic- You are given a meter to slow down time to help dodge the raindrops, but instead of forcing the player to expend a big chunk of meter every time, you can quick tap the slow down button for as short a time as possible, which uses only expends the tiniest sliver of meter. It's kind of like how in a shmup when you are given the tiniest hurtbox and are allowed to micro tap the stick for the most pixel precise movement, but in this case you are finely manipulating the speed at which the bullets drop as you try to dodge them. Your meter recharges a bit after each stage, but as the game ramps up, your use of meter naturally wants to increase and begins to exceed how much you regain from each level. It works quite well and creates an elegant system to design difficulty around. There are multiple modes that are well thought out variations on the original idea. The scoring system is well thought out and makes you want to learn how to master it, which I think is always a good sign. The aesthetic is doing the common Japanese thing where a challenging game is wrapped in a cutesy tone to inspire you to keep trying and it works well here. My only criticism is I wish there was more! Overall a pretty nice little hidden gem and the developer kindly even responded to my praise of the game on Youtube, which I always to me a sign of a passionate dev. Well done!
あのころ アーケードの Respect ねこちゃん かわいい!
Just one more try... You'll see, I can do it! I'll make more laps than any cat before! You'll be watching me, right?
So many interesting ways to look at such a simple loop. Really appreciate that the additional game modes encourage development of different skills, that come back around to help performance in the main mode. Extremely charming!
Simple, timeless arcade-style excellence. I highly recommend this game to anyone who has ever enjoyed an arcade game.
Great シューティングゲームの気合避けを抜き出してミニゲームにしたみたいな感じです。 クリアは結構難しいけど何回かやってたらいけるはず それ以外のモードもある!
This game is so cute and fun! Great for playing in short bursts! This would be so cool to see on an arcade cabinet.
