Solid new arcade type title, enjoyed thoroughly!

the number one thing a game that's a tribute to old school arcade machines should be able to do is make me go "okay one more try i got this" over and over. and this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DID it
Shout out to Derek Yu for recommending this on Bluesky, I never would've known it existed otherwise. A pretty perfectly executed throwback to early '80s arcade games. The core of the gameplay is simple: run from one side of the screen to the other and dodge the raindrops. But there are enough little intricacies and risk/reward elements to discover to make it interesting. After a while you'll also unlock a customizable mode that lets you mix and match additional obstacles to make the game easier or harder, as well as two other rule variants. Really fun little game to launch on a whim and play for a few minutes.
This is a really cool arcade style game that definitely deserves your attention if you're into old school arcade games. Extremely easy to play and get into, not frustrating like a lot of other arcade style games. Runs are extremely quick. A surprising amount of unlockable modes too which is a great feature. Considering how little time you will put into this game, it's probably best to wait for a sale, but if you're nostalgic for old arcade games and love chasing high scores then this is for you.
A game that hides a lot of depth to achieving high scores high despite its' simple concept and appearance. The dev's Bluesky page notes 80's Namco games as one of their primary inspirations and that love shines through incandescently. Side note, I bought this a few days before my precalc finals, and the short game sessions make it great for breaks between study sessions; however, I feel like I can safely say that in another timeline, this would take Tetris' spot for the "banned from office computers for being too addictive" award. (I mean this in the most positive way possible.)
A wonderful little modern arcade game that has gone woefully underappreciated, especially for a game that has a direct reference in a certain other famous indie game. If you like any arcade game at all, please check this one out-- it's worth your money. I got into a score battle with my friend who bought it at the same time ... and lost! It was really fun! It can be you too!
Great game with more depth than I had initially expected.
Raindrop Sprinters is a charmingly simple and adorably dolled up game, but only the bravest cats will overcome its challenge...! Thank you, Shuhei Miyzawa and room_909, for this rewarding and endearing experience!
