You are a nomadic slugcat, both predator and prey in a broken ecosystem. Grab your spear and brave the industrial wastes, hunting enough food to survive, but be wary— other, bigger creatures have the same plan... and slugcats look delicious.

About
You are a slugcat. The world around you is full of danger, and you must face it – alone. Separated from your family in a devastating flood, you will need to find food and shelter between terrifying torrential downpours which threaten to drown all life. Climb through the ruins of an ancient civilization, evade the jaws of vicious predators, and discover new lands teeming with strange creatures and buried mysteries. Find your family before something makes a meal of you!
Inspired by the simplicity and aesthetics of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer requires clever decision-making, both to catch your own prey and to avoid the jaws of hungry predators. Each ravenous foe in your path will be cunning, vicious and always on the hunt – eager to sink their teeth into you, or even each other. As a small, soft slugcat you must rely on stealth and wit rather than force: learn the ecosystem and turn their strengths to your advantage. Maybe then you can survive… Rain World!

Reviews
i played this game on xbox until getting it recently because of mods and stuff. i blinked and i'm already at 13 hours (i have around 70+ hours on console), this game is addicting. if you like hard games and platformers then get it, the downpour dlc is even better (can't speak for watcher, haven't gotten it yet) and basically contains an entire game at a price lower than the base game. the saddest part of the game (besides THAT ending as artificer) is when you inevitably 100% the game, which i luckily haven't reached. even then, there's lots of mods.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

English-translated version: This game is hands down the best game I've ever played. The content has depth, it's got soul, and the Chinese localization is incredibly well done. The things Echoes and Iterators say carry this elegant Chinese poetic vibe, yet still mix in some casual Western slang. You can just wander around, taking in how massive and beautiful the maps are, or go full murder-hobo if that's your thing. You can dig into the lore hidden in pearls — go get your mark from Five Pebbles first, then head to Shoreline to find Looks to the Moon and have her translate them. Eventually, after meeting four Echoes or hitting up Five Pebbles to max out your Karma at level 10, head to Depths (subregion: The Void) to ascend. Once you reach that shimmering golden lake, just swim down. A giant Void Worm will show up — do nothing, let it drag you all the way down. When it stops, hold down + right and keep swimming. Once you spot a light source, swim toward it — and boom, you've ascended. Now let me break down the base game campaigns besides the yellow cat: White Cat (Survivor) — a well-rounded cat. Starts in Outskirts, struggles to survive, passes through Karma gates one by one, and finally reaches Depths to ascend. Remember: you only gain Karma by sleeping in a shelter, each Karma gate can only be crossed once per cycle, and once you hit max Karma capacity, go meet Echoes (each one raises your Karma by one level) or visit Five Pebbles (instantly maxes you out to level 10 — though this doesn't apply to every cat, like Red Cat / Hunter). Oh, and Five Pebbles has a short fuse — don't annoy him too much or he might just fry you. Meeting an Echo sends you back to your last shelter — abuse this for fast travel, but watch the clock or the rain will end you. Red Cat (Hunter) — higher stats across the board, but also burns through food faster. Stock up on meat (trust me, once you've tried fruit and batflies, you'll never touch them again). You play as an Iterator NSH's messenger. Start in Farm Arrays with two items you need to deliver to Looks to the Moon. Each cat's timeline is different. In Hunter's timeline, Moon is already shut down — you need the green neuron you start with to wake her up. Why'd she shut down? Go talk to Pebbles and have Moon read those pearls. And here's the kicker — his cycle count goes backwards. Starts at 20, gets another 5 after seeing Pebbles. If it hits zero... go ahead and find out yourself, I'm not spoiling that. If you're bad at the game, just skip Moon entirely, max out Karma, and go straight for ascension. Pro tips: Smoke Bombs are Farm Arrays' specialty — perfect for taking down centipedes and riding rain deer. Those umbrella-looking things — spear 'em and they pop open like popcorn, giving you free food. Every single place is reachable. If it feels too far, try throwing something mid-jump. Can't get up somewhere? Stick spears into walls or the ground and make yourself a staircase. Before heading to Shaded Citadel or Depths, grab a lantern (trade or steal from Scavengers) or anything that glows. If you're desperate, you could eat the neurons inside Five Pebbles — but for the love of god don't eat Moon's. Slugcats have an oxygen bar — don't stay underwater too long. Explosive Spears and Scavenger grenades are absolute lifesavers — just back the hell up before using them. Getting camped at a pipe? Use other pipes to juke 'em. Traveling too slow? Learn the roll-pounce-slide jump. Keep an eye on how dark the background looks when exploring. Falling from high up? Roll right before landing and you'll take almost no damage. Those big blue-glowing cluster things on the ground? That's Worm Grass. Step on it and it'll drain your health and drag you in — and you can't even hurt it.
