You are a slugcat. The world around you is full of danger, and you must face it – alone. Separated from your family in a devastating flood, you will need to find food and shelter between terrifying torrential downpours which threaten to drown all life. Climb through the ruins of an ancient civilization, evade the jaws of vicious predators, and discover new lands teeming with strange creatures and buried mysteries. Inspired by the simplicity and aesthetics of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer requires clever decision-making, both to catch your own prey and to avoid the jaws of hungry predators. Each ravenous foe in your path will be cunning, vicious and always on the hunt – eager to sink their teeth into you, or even each other. As a small, soft slugcat you must rely on stealth and wit rather than force: learn the ecosystem and turn their strengths to your advantage. Maybe then you can survive… Rain World!

It can be confusing at first, however it is quite magical and the soundtrack is really well made.
this game is truly an amazing and unique experience, at first you don't understand anything, the you keep without understanding BUT still the game mechanics and echosystem living by its own catch you and makes you feel comfortable and actually giving you the feeling of wanting to survive. Truly a gem among a lot of games

Rain World is the only game I have ever played that is the true embodiment of survival. You are one of the weaker creatures on the food chain and you have to use the environment and your brain to actually survive. All the conflict comes from random encounters with enemies and nothing in the game is scripted at all. The world is completely alive, but it doesn't revolve around you. The world is foreign and unpredictable, and even when you have gotten farther into the game you are still just as on edge as you were when you started. The brutal survival gameplay and the living, unpredictable, interconnected world blend together to make a game that fully immerses you into a true survival experience. Give it a try because it definitely deserves way more recognition. Just be aware that the game is probably not going to be what you expect it to be.
epic and somtimes scary
Cute main character. Would not have finished this game without playing with friends. Also wasn't there for 100% of the journey.
A scavenger killed my tamed red lizard so I killed him and fed it to 3 vultures as I watched them rip the scavenger apart and after a king vulture came and took the scavenger 10/10 game, 100% recommend to buy
Rain world is a very fun game. Also the dlc campaigns are worth it
