I really don't like this game. I wanted a spiritual successor to RRT2 but it's too clunky for me to use. My main gripe is the route mechanics — I don't understand why a route can't pass through another station. Also, why can't I build a station on an existing line?
Until the bugs are fixed and QoL improvements are made i can not recommend this game unless it is heavily discounted. It has potential, but the constant various bugs make it a nightmare at times. Track routes breaking for seemingly no reason. I found RE1 to be a more polished product.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

my friend and I played the multiplayer and didn't realize that its literally coop and you can't go against each other. Its an OK game but needs to have a real competitive tycoon type of playing where I can buy him out or be pushed out of an area.
I only play Sandbox mode, and have never run out new and interesting ways to entertain myself with the biggest train set ever created. I've invested over 3000 hours and expect to play forever.
It is a nightmare in terms of controls and UI. It's a pity I cant do a refund (too late). Cant remember that bad UX in games for a long time. Quit playing after 1 hour of trying make basic things.
Track building is a miserable experience. I dread every time I have to to merge tracks. Little terrain glitches will prevent me from connecting the last track making lots of effort useless.
I thought it might be a good idea to first stress test the game with a complex network of trains and rails. Turns out it was a good idea. The game has so much potential, yet progression feels pointless after the first hour ingame, which is just sad. In terms of network logics it does a quite good job within the automatic signals mode, but still its just surface scratching and it is not really possible to tweak rail networks to a maximum efficiency, as trains are literally as stupid as they could possibly be. The manual signals mode is a horrible mess, I would not recommend messing around with this. (And yes there are many good examples, of how network signals could work out there. e.g. Sweet Transit, or Factorio) On top of all that. It is literally unplayable in Multiplayer, since once you want to use waypoints to create better working routes they all recieve the same name like 1. waypoint 0; 2. Waypoint 0 and so on and so forth... But that is not everything. As this is possibly just and optical flaw Trains start driving in endless circles across all map hunting for a waypoint they will never reach, resulting in hitting 0% HP creating unsolveable traffic jams. I spent literally hours following these trains to figure out they pass the shown waypoint multiple times without getting further. It is just frustrating and for that price I wont ever buy something like that again.
