You are Ranger, a warrior armed with a powerful arsenal of weapons. Un videojuego impactante, haber podido jugarlo cuando fue lanzado ha sido todo un privilegio. Obviamente, a ojos de un jugador de hoy día, el juego puede que no parezca gran cosa pero, en el contexto de su época, este juego fue un producto excepcional.
Bought it purely for the nostalgia after seeing the 30th Anniversary DLC. I only wanted to jump in for a few minutes... but I got instantly locked in and ended up playing almost 3 hours straight on hard level and I am going to continue! Damn, it's so funny and fast! That "just one more level, one more try" feeling kicked in immediately. This is exactly how a game is supposed to feel. Multiplayer was fun too, looking forward to play it with some friends and kick *ss. :D

It was fun, not as good as doom but it's pretty fun to play
LA masterclass absolue du FPS, toujours indétrônable. Même des décennies après sa sortie, Quake reste un chef-d'œuvre de nervosité, de level design gothique et de sensations brutes. Et l'arrivée du tout nouvel add-on gratuit Dawn of the Machine (conçu par MachineGames et id Software pour les 30 ans de la licence) prouve que le jeu n'a pas pris une ride. Pourquoi il faut y jouer : Un gameplay intemporel : Vitesse pure, bunny hop, super shotgun et rocket jumps. Zéro temps mort, que du skill. Ambiance sonore culte : L'OST sombre et poignante de Trent Reznor couplée aux nouvelles musiques de l'extension. Contenu colossal : Inclut le jeu de base, les extensions d'origine (Scourge of Armagon, Dissolution of Eternity), Dimension of the Past, Dimension of the Machine et désormais Dawn of the Machine
30th anniversary free expansion???? In this economy and crazy world?! A blessing from the Gods... new expansion is absolutely fantastic!
Great memories playing this and the Painkeep mod, on Dial up modem, with legendary players like Ziggy, LordL, H3ll and others. Along with net meets via TCP/IP or Netbeui with great map add-ons from Blackjack (BJ). Those were fun times. I still have all that saved, as a drag and drop game. Airfist gun blowing pineapples and gravity wells around corners still puts a smile on my face. (Grommet $M.Inc$)
