You are Ranger, a warrior armed with a powerful arsenal of weapons. No es mi Quake favorito pero sin duda tenia que por lo menos terminarlo, después de las incontables veces que lo habré intentado en el pasado en diferentes plataformas. El juego no solo funciona estupendamente, si no que tiene horas de sobra para entretenerte y como 10 packs de mods distintos descargables con mas niveles, incluido Quake 64. Las expansiones son recomendables también, sobre todo la ultima, donde el nivel de detalle de los mapas esta al limite del motor diría yo. Para todo aquel que le gusten este tipo de juegos compra recomendada.

This was an almost perfect collection a week ago. But then they ChatGPT'd a surprise announcement of a new expansion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Quake, and as a perfect example of then vs now, it's a vibe-coded buggy mess which completely broke the game for lots of players. My guess is because they didn't have any testers (or press release writers) left after the recent mass layoffs. Thanks for the memories id, it was fun while it lasted.
Dawn of the Machine was designed to waste as much of your time as possible.
Why does quake work on my Steam Deck, but not on my main PC?

This is NOT a review of the original game but the latest modern Vulkan-based version. Under the latest Intel drivers, version 32.0.101.8864, the game either * Crashes on startup (with default startup options) * Or randomly freezes during gameplay (when using `+r_rhirenderfamily d3d11 +d3d11_compileShaders 1` launch options) The new campaign is interesting but I couldn't make myself finish it considering the game has crashed already at least 20 times. And when it does that it often requires you to log off cause you cannot even run Task Manager.
