Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really cool game! I wanted to play this before playing the sequel and I am glad I did though I would like to tell others that you don't have to since there are some parts of the game that show its age. For the positives, the story and the aesthetics hold up really well. The voice acting also helps in enriching the experience. There are also some really amazing levels with each one having a unique level design which was fun to discover and play through. For the gripes, the physics is a little wonky at times and there were many times where it wasn't super clear what to do next. Also that last level was so hard and annoying to get through, so I warn everyone reaching that point to look for tips on getting through it. Other than those gripes however, I still enjoyed playing Psychonauts and I am looking forward to playing the sequel!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Memorable, creative, and charming artstyle and character design. Story is crazy, environments the story plunges you into are crazy. The characters are crazy. Feeling a little crazy. The humor can leave kid-friendly territory and I'm pleasantly surprised. Voices and dialogue are nice (aside from unnecessary child romances). The platforming is fun, combat and bosses are less fun. Using mouse with radial menus doesn't work well. Map and pre-rendered cutscenes are blurry. Some tutorial sections don't explain things from what I could tell. A couple puzzles I find a bit unreasonable, and hurt my momentum trying nearly everything to stumble upon a solution. Thankfully there's a way to get hints. Disappointing there's no post-game exploration, even if there isn't much to go back for.
Double Fine production is now filled with activists who doesn't wanna hear outside of their echo chamber, go woke go broke.
one of THE games of all time
For context I have 100% this game AND got all achievements. I slept on this game for too long. I've heard people talk about how good it is many years ago, but just brushed it off. I finally got around to playing it, and I must say, it's one of the most unique 3D platformers I have played. The different psychic abilities and the whole theme of the game
being inside the minds of people
is so much fun and allows for pretty unique levels without having to "explain" itself as to why this exists. I also really enjoyed the adult humour. The random swearing caught me off guard and that's when I realised that despite us being kids at a camp, this is not a childrens game.
Linux performance
This game is Linux native just like almost every Double Fine game (thanks, guys!) but there is actually no controller support on Linux, so I played it through Proton instead. I had no issues, except for the fact I needed to limit the framerate to 60fps to avoid game breaking bugs (I did this with MangoHUD). There are ways to get controllers working on Linux, but then two random bugs can be introduced (camera spinning with a controller and no controller button prompts) so I just decided to play the Windows version via Proton to avoid all that mess.
amazing game the platforming was great the story was great and i like how it got harder the farther you went
Отличная игра непонятая в своё время Сюжет хороший, геймдизайн отличный, геймплей 20летней игры, задумка и реализация 10/10
