Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
11 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

11 on sale4 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 4 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 11 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The game was excellent. Grant Theft Auto murderous mutant biohazard. I should have reviewed it when I bought it!
Prototype 2 was a really enjoyable game. In terms of gameplay, it's a definite upgrade over the first game. The different weapon forms all feel purposeful, each one has clear situations where it shines, and they actually come in handy depending on the enemy or scenario you're facing. What I loved most is that every weapon has its own dedicated upgrades, completely separate from your general movement, powers, abilities, evolution, and other upgrades. This variety is excellent. You can freely assign points to create your own custom build based on how you like to play, whether you want to go full aggressive, stealth or balanced. The stealth gameplay is also a huge step up. In Prototype 1, getting spotted often felt annoying and it took forever to shake off enemies. In Prototype 2, stealth is way smoother, more usable, and actually fun. Shapeshifting and infiltrating feel natural and rewarding instead of frustrating because there are so many different ways to hunt, consume, and take down enemies. Every fight feels fresh and unique. It keeps the game from becoming repetitive. Now that the gameplay side is out of the way, Prototype 2 is nowhere near the level of Prototype 1. The original is simply superior in almost every other aspect. The vibe and atmosphere in the first game were something else, more dark, mysterious, and incredibly compelling in a way that Prototype 2 just couldn't replicate, no matter how hard it tried. Alex Mercer as the protagonist, the way the story unfolded, and the overall experience in Prototype 1 were far more superior. That’s not to say Prototype 2 has a bad story, it doesn’t. James Heller’s revenge tale is solid and has some emotional weight. But when you compare the two, Prototype 1 is in a completely different league. There was something about its mystery, darkness, and gripping narrative that felt unreachable. Even if they made ten more Prototype games, I doubt anything could match the original. Overall, even though it doesn’t come close to Prototype 1 in story and atmosphere, the gameplay in Prototype 2 is very enjoyable and a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend playing both games. Peakness in both.
