Not even 8 hours in and I have to admit that I probably will not add any more game-time. Somehow this game failed to impress me at all. The graphics are great for such a game, however the writing is cringy at best. The "storyline" is already boring after the first 3 sentences. I dont particularly like most types of buildings - markets and the like. I am also missing clear info on how many resources are produced by whom and how many in what amount of time. Some diagrams are thrown at you but I personally (probably a me-problem) failed to get any vital information out of it. There are a lot more annoyances from my point of view, but they're pretty subjective, so I'll spare you the details. Overall I must say, that I regret buying this game.
Eigentlich sehr motivierend. Also nochmal stundenlang wiederholen. Das ist für mich leider gamebreaking!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pioneers of Pagonia was meant to be a spiritual successor to The Settlers, but it completely misses what made that series work. Where The Settlers thrived on intuitive systems and elegant simplicity, Pagonia buries the player under an overcomplicated web of tools and an excessive number of professions. Instead of feeling organic and readable, the economy becomes cumbersome and needlessly convoluted. For me, this overengineering kills the fun, which is why I can’t recommend the game.
The base game is nowhere near finished, yet the greedy developers are already pushing out DLC for a quick buck. I’ve been rooting for this game since Early Access, but this shameless cash grab completely killed my interest
Bought this game in early access, and I had good hopes for this game. But the game turned out to be shallow, bland, boring.... I could make an extensive list of all disappointing features but I saw some other players that have eloquently described the shortfalls of this game. I gladly refer to them to help you make up your mind about this game.
Hmm.... Honestly, I could easily recommend the game for what it was and how it was presented to us in the beginning, but then somewhere along the way the entire feel of the art and all the assets got changed out of nowhere for no reason whatsoever -- for the worse. Then the focus of the game changed in little ways 'here and there' and slowly but surely it became what it is today. High contrast, cheap, cartoony sameness. It feels harsh to say that but it's the only pure way I know how to describe it. It feels exponentially more shallow than what the original vision set out to achieve and even what the game had in it. It's difficult to explain this bit because technically there's more in the game than before, but since the core of it is nothing resembling what it was, none of the extras even matter because the game isn't even fun anymore. I could get into all the tiny details and things that have changed and what was better and contrast it to what it has all boiled down to in its current state, but really, it doesn't even feel like it would matter anyway. I've spent a ton of time with this game (more than my playtime stats on here indicate since I had a substantial amount of "try before you buy" time with it) so I feel like I would be the right person to ask since I've had it since almost day 1, but to you as a potential buyer I'll just say "don't"...something seems very wrong here and I don't know what it is, but if I did know I would tell you. Push through the FOMO and get something else. You're not missing anything here anymore. Sadly. If things change, I'll put my original review back or write a better nice one, but as a fellow gamer I wouldn't and couldn't steer your wrong by lying and saying this was great as it is right now. If you want other suggestions, feel free to ask if you want to since I do love a ton of games in this genre (it's basically my main, aside from factory/survival/everything except turn-based stuff pretty much... haha), but yeah. I suppose that's all there is to say for now. Cheers!
main game is "okay" i guess. there is alot you could implement. whats the solution? paid DLCs of course. this is absolut not "okay" and shows the direction clearly. poor greedy behaviour. and for the records this is how you kill your own game in less then 6 month. this behaviour should be studied
I feel like the game has a very poor balancing. Enemies that have the ability to reproduce themselves infinite in story mode while the game doesnt allow you to upgrade your units because of lord know why is just poor design. Quest NPCS constantly feeding enemies to further increase growth and spectres running over the half map to scare away everyone? No sorry I dont enjoy this kind of thing. Other than that, co-op is pretty well made.
