The game itself is good but really glitchy. After beating the game it took all my coins away I was saving. The game outright takes mechanics from multiple Mario games 64, Sunshine,Galaxy, Odyssey. It mixes them somewhat well but feels a little lacking in focus at least to me. I don't think the glitches will be patched so hard to outright rec this game since could randomly unable to fully 100% the game like I did. I'd recommend the game since been patched.
It pretty obviously tries copying Mario Galaxy, to its detriment unfortunately. I like the movement and there is some cute characters, but the level design and visuals are a little too simplistic for me, and the hub world is a little confusingly laid out. I often felt like I was just hoping I was going the right way while going through the levels. I think for a future game, working on improving level design and maybe adding some simple sound effects, will improve the experience a lot.

This is a great game and I love the art style and direction it went. We need more games kind of like this, maybe less sky jumping over death pit and more adventure type, but I would like to see more games with Pilfer. The gameplay was great, although there was a small issue with targeting where it would flicker and not grab on to the objects and I'd fall to my death. I had 2 crashes the entire time playing, but that's not that bad. They both happened when I paused the game in windowed fullscreen and tabbed out and then back in. That might just have been a random issue with the graphics driver though. Now about the one achievement.. If you're getting this game to 100%, just know that there's no video guides and no help (at the time of writing this). You're on your own. I played all the way through the game and never once had any issues with difficulty.. until I got to the very last achievement. (I won't say which as to not accidentally spoil anything outright.) The difficulty went from maybe a 3 or 4 to 45. The jumps I had to make were a little less than a SM64 speedrun from a top pro. I exaggerate a bit of course, but these 6 jump locations I feel have to be pixel-perfect or "bonk" or death. I had several people watch me struggle in one area of that level and they could not believe what they were seeing. At the very least, I believe this achievement needs adjusting so that at least it matches the difficulty of the rest of the game. Again for spoiling reasons, I can't even say what made this even more difficult, but there's some object in the way, as a hint to what's wrong here. So my final word on this is that if you're looking for a good game, this is definitely a good one. If you are looking to casually or otherwise 100% the game and achievements, beware of the difficulty spike out of nowhere.
Jogo de plataforma muito bom, Recomendo
What if Mario Galaxy, but a raccoon Of course, me never having played any of those games--only seen a few of them while watching my younger sibling play--my closest comparison was easily Hat in Time, albeit Pilfer is a touch less agile than Hat Kid. Game is still shockingly good for its price, tho, and I'm actually kinda mad at myself for not buying it sooner lol Pilfer was an absolute joy to play through, full stop; I kept finding myself thinking how delightful the experience was, what with the pleasant visuals, the excellent music, and the freedom to play however you wish, up to and including speedrun strats (seriously, the "challenge levels" even tell you that you can do stuff like B-Hop, this game is nuts). Easily a strong recommend for anyone that's a fan of 3D platformers~
Pretty fun 3D platformer. Had a pretty basic story but worked well with the game. The levels were pretty fun and the music was really good as well. Movement and the controls worked well with a controller (PS4). The games controls are fluid and allow you to do some very fun movement platforming as well which made your character move really fast. This game graphically looks similar to that of an early Wii game and you can see clear inspiration from the Mario Galaxy games in its design. You collect lanturn as the main progression collectible while able to find a secret card hidden on most levels as well. The boss fights were pretty fun and the game to me was an enjoyable experience. You can also unlock new costumes in the game that doesn't change anything gameplay wise but gave the character a unique look. Difficultywise the game to me was pretty easy for the most part but did have some challenges along the way as well. Outside of a select few completely optional levels it was never a frustrating experience to me. Now this is not a perfect game by any means and it has some glitches and bugs here and there. Like being able to clip through certain objects getting you stuck but thanks to the games reset function you could easily get out without loosing much progress. I also decided to get every single achivement in the game, it was pretty straight forward getting most achivemnts but it had a few tricky ones as well out of all 13 it had. I can recommend this game to people who crave a overall good 3d platformer with a touche of Nostalgia for Mario Galaxy but wants to play something new or those just wanting to try a new 3D platformer. :)
It feels like playing a late-stage beta of one of the greatest platformers of all-time. At the same time, it's hard to get too excited when the vast majority of the concepts are stolen from various Mario games. I seriously wonder exactly how legal this game is....hopefully legal enough to stay in my library.
A fun game. Little bit clunky, but movement works 100% of time. Movement and some levels are similar to Hat in Time. Engine is not perfect and moving platrorms do not work properly. Game works great on minimal requirements, no lags. ~80fps
pretty glitchy but still a fun lil platformer
An admittedly familiar, but somehow improved character controller + very solid level design chops makes this a generally very fun 3D platformer.
