Petit Island

Recommended if you're looking for kid friendly game

Worth it, but on a discount. A cute and cozy adventure in an open world to explore, but with some caveats. At first it seems like there would be a lot to see and do, which is true, but there is not much to interact with or secrets to find. If you come in thinking you will get something akin to Animal Crossing, then keep your expectations really low. If you want a short, focused and heart warming story that is told in a colorful world where zipping from point A to B without much filler, with very limited platforming and almost not challenges, then this hits the spot perfectly! While it might not have the lasting power of other well-known cozy games, it was engaging enough to keep a focused narrative until the end. Collecting all the achievements was pretty easy too which padded the game another couple hours or so. Worked well enough on the Steam Deck with almost no performance issues, but I also locked it to 45hz to reduce the fan noise and heat.

The invisible wall in the middle of Petit Island makes you walk around too many times. I understand it is a chill game and some players prefer to take it slowly, but that's just too slow for me. I didnt wanna rush the game, but walking around that island dozens of times was not fun. I suggest removing the invisible wall or turning the phones into fast travel points.

Petit Island is a cute game where you play as Lily the cat as she travels to Petit Island to relive her Grandpaw's memories and help him remember his past. I found the story sweet, and I enjoyed completing the quests. There are 24 achievements for completing each chapter of the story and various side quests. The achievements do add to the playtime, as you do not need to complete all the side quests or catch all the insects and fish to finish the story. However, I do not like the tool management because you have to open the inventory, click on the tool to equip it, close the inventory, and then use the tool. To unequip the tool, you have to open the inventory again unless you want Lily to run around with a shovel. Also, the way the island is laid out, it can make it time-consuming to get around to complete quests. You can unlock mounts to make the process faster, and your first mount is free, but it still takes some time to get around to the other side of the island. That said, I did have fun playing Petit Island.

最大的优点可能就是画风比较可爱了 游戏设计得真挺无聊 地图上基本就没有那种“路过看到想试试能不能互动，点一下发现真的能”的细节，基本上只有和任务相关的才有交互，玩起来感觉就挺呆板 而且感觉任务大部分就是跑到某个地方，对话几句，又要去到有一定距离的另一个地方，然后-----还必须要原路返回交任务 有的时候两个任务点之间几乎就在地图的两端了 仅仅是跑来跑去的话真没什么有趣的吧 不是非得跑回领任务的地方交任务吧，我玩过的其它的相同类型的游戏，任务完成了可以就是原地完成啊，不一定就得原路返回再对些话啊 ε=(´ο｀*)) 过程中有一处尤其让我觉得游玩体验不好的，是做完了一个任务后，才获得了一个帽子，才戴上，就跳出来一个兔子把帽子拿走了，说是自己的东西 这么设计真的合理吗 我才拿到的东西诶，才获得的一个正反馈，转头就在任务里又给我收走了。就算是剧情需要，也要考虑一下游玩体验吧[○･｀Д´･ ○] 捂都没捂热乎，就又要开始跑图做任务。又要跑来跑去要跑老一截路，又折腾了一阵才把帽子拿回来 跑图的路上看到的是已经看过很多次的风景，而且途中没有任何有设计的、跟任务无关的交互点 路上的那些非任务npc也没什么有趣一点的对话，那些房子全都只是建模，沙滩上的椅子也不能交互，所有东西几乎都只是摆在那只能看的 我个人这种游戏的乐趣之一，就是路过像什么商店或别的建筑或什么东西时，走近想试试看能不能真的交互，发现真的能买东西会有种小小的惊喜感，虽然可能并没有多大的实际用处，也不是什么待完成的任务，但就是感觉这样这个世界更有...生机一点？ 拿玩过的相似类型的游戏举个例，就不说具体名字了。那个游戏也是画风可爱的步行模拟器这一卦的，可以在经过沙滩时发现有别的动物在打沙滩排球，然后可以触发对话，加入打排球的游戏；可以在找到某个租船处时，真的租汽艇在海面上飙船；可以在某个山间地带发现有几个动物好像在来来回回绕圈圈跑后，得知他们在参加马拉松，然后也加入比赛。这些都不是强引导的必做项，但就是能让玩家在逛图时发现后，觉得这个世界多了一份“可信度”，而不是只能靠任务的明引导来让玩家去做什么事，不是只能靠地图上哪里有感叹号然后让玩家从地图这头跑到那头 我真不是想拉踩，只是同为画风可爱治愈系的“步行模拟器”之间差距也太大了，也不是说只有做成这样才算好玩，但起码就像本游戏这样除了任务相关几乎就没什么可以互动的真的好无聊啊 感觉就是地图大而空，一直在做线性任务，没有什么真正可以探索的 我以为我对这种画风可爱的步行模拟器类的游戏标准还是挺宽松的，这个游戏让我意识到原来我还是有些要求的 抱着一种“花钱买的要玩完”的心理，加上画风还算可爱，勉强自己过到了主线9章的内容 还是无聊 真无聊啊 最后还有想对开头的剧情吐槽一下-----为啥手机落在了机场不能回去拿，也不找工作人员说明情况，而只能继续向前走啊，虽然知道这不是什么重点，但真的有点出戏啊(⊙o⊙)… 还有，我不明白，为什么这个游戏那-------么喜欢黑屏转场，就是一个猫爪爪拉下来一个窗帘的剪影。不知道是不是在投机取巧，想尽量少做一点角色动作。黑屏看多了真的有点烦啊，而且这种画风的游戏制作难度有那么高吗，就那么需要依靠黑屏来转场吗 越回想越觉得折磨啊ε=(´ο｀*) 有点可惜了还挺可爱的画风┓(;´_｀)┏
