Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.86/day in the week to Aug 10 → 5.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Phantom Thieves.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Hack and slash variant of the best JRPG
Game is unplayable garbage, very disappotining to see from a developer I respected.
good ♥♥♥♥
This game is absolutely amazing. If you liked Persona 5 I cannot recommend this game more than enough. It’s a great sequel the story is amazing and while I love jrpg combat, the new combat system in this game was refreshing and fun. Definitely play it if you are thinking about it.
TLDR; Yes, this game is fun and good and I would recommend it to any Persona/P5 fan. In the first few hours, the game genuinely felt like a chore to me because I preferred the turn-based combat, and the only redeeming factor for me was the cast and the fact that I got to physically control any character I wanted. By the end of the game I started to realize I now want every main game (starting with P6) to have a Strikers game. + It's just long enough not to drag on but still has a very interesting story, especially in the second half of the game. I heard this game started development in 2016. What did the writers know back then about AI? Much props to them. + Gorgeous in-game menu, as per usual. + Combat is not as chaotic as I thought it would be and is quite fair due to the fact that pulling up your items or Persona menu pauses the fight, giving you enough time to study weaknesses, use the proper skill and even consume items mid-battle. + Fighting the Reaper like this was actually really fun and not at all intimidating like it is in turn-based combat where you wonder if he's going to instakill you after your turn. + The cast is just as interesting as in P5(R), maybe even more so. For instance, while I already liked Yusuke well enough by the end of P5R, I like him even more after P5S. And Ryuji is still my dude. Love Makoto, too. - Combat dialogue can be a bit overwhelming, especially in boss fights. As you may already know, bosses tend to have a lot to say, and the main cast has a lot to say in response. That goes on during the fights a lot, and story-related dialogue is often mixed in with actual useful information, like when someone has a Showtime ready or when someone needs healing. I've managed to be able to filter out the useful dialogue, but I've never really gotten the hang of listening to the story-related stuff. The only option would be to pull up the items or Persona menu to stop and listen, because fortunately they do keep talking during that. - Doesn't run well on my Steam Deck natively, and it seems to be a common issue. There's a workaround for it but I didn't feel the need to tinker. - Most horrendous default keyboard mapping I've ever come across in a video game. Don't ask me to press H + N in the middle of active combat. Again, I didn't feel like messing around with it and just played with a controller. - I feel like Merciless is the proper way to play this game because it forces you to prepare with items and think about skills, weaknesses, fusing the proper Personas and using checkpoints regularly. It was only after I got kicked by a random shadow when Ryuji was standing perfectly fine that I realized that I also needed to pay attention to my equipped Persona's stats, like endurance. I wish the game gave me more incentive to (fully) play the game on Merciless, or offer an option where the game increases in difficulty as you progress your skills. That would've been cool. - This is more wishful thinking, but I hope that future games allow you to use whatever character you romanced in the main game. It kiiinda takes me out of the immersion when I play this as a direct sequel with Makoto as the protagonist's gf. I can imagine branching dialogue could be hard to code but it sure would be fun for P6 games.
