Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
From Obsidian, this game is a historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years. Players will be responsible for conducting their own investigation to decide the fate of the community, but each decision will have lasting consequences and inexorably draws Andreas closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.
Experience 16th century Europe as the master artists of the time saw them. Art inspired by great illuminated manuscripts and the earliest printed books becomes a living, breathing world in Pentiment.
Choose different academic and social backgrounds and meet a colorful cast of characters as you discover the stories and secrets that lie within the small Bavarian town of Tassing and nearby Keirsau Abbey.
In an era of great religious and political change, each decision you make can have a profound impact on the community’s future. Find your own way through this turbulent time and see the consequences of your choices play out over generations.

Reviews
What a great narrative. Game and art direction are superb. Obsidian might be the greatest studio in the business.
Pentiment has a moving story, fascinating historic setting, and beautiful art and sound. There's a mildly confusing dialogue mechanic, but it's fine. I heartily recommend Pentiment!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Pentiment is one of the best games I've ever played. Obsidian's approach to storytelling, the hand-painted art style inspired by medieval manuscripts, and the depth of the characters come together into an experience that's rarely matched in video games. Every choice you make genuinely shapes the story and how the world perceives you, and the atmosphere of the 16th-century Bavarian town is captured with incredible attention to detail.
My only gripe was with navigating through the labyrinth section, something felt a bit off, though that might have been because I played on Steam with a PS4 controller, so the controls may not have been perfectly optimized for that setup.
Still, that's a minor issue compared to everything else the game offers. Aside from that small hiccup, everything else about this game is close to perfect. Huge respect to the team behind it. Pentiment is a genuine work of art, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who values stories with depth and character.
Vraiment.
I loved the characters, they made each decision feel important.
What a great game. The art style is a masterpiece along with the brilliant writing, even though the story is framed within a religious context, which is not the most interesting and fun subject, the whole game is still so gripping and it works perfectly.
