Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 24.71/day in the week to Aug 31 → 25.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In Pathogenic, you are the disease. Experience a visceral 2D roguelike twin-stick shooter where you play as a lone parasite fighting a desperate war against the immune system. Your goal is simple: infect and conquer your human host.

To survive, you must adapt. Hunt down enemy cells, rip out their organelles, and graft them onto your own body. Evolve from a simple cell into a complex engine of destruction. Create powerful, game-breaking builds and become the ultimate pathogen.

Loot, graft, and assemble your parasite from dozens of unique organelles. Combine flagella for movement, mitochondria for power, secretors for ranged attacks, and spikes for melee combat. Chain organelle effects and discover powerful synergies to build an unstoppable disease vector.

Battle a diverse roster of enemies, from basic immune cells like macrophages and T cells to rival parasites such as tapeworms or protozoa. Formidable bosses are lurking deep within the host's organs.

Collect plasmid fragments to permanently upgrade your parasite's plasmid tree between runs. Each parasite will have it's own upgrade tree allowing for a range of builds to suit your preferred playstyle.

Navigate the procedurally generated organic landscape of the human body. Travel through distinct biomes like the branching pathways of the lungs, the pulsating chambers of the heart, and the complex neural network of the brain.
Our detailed, colorful world is powered by a soft-body physics simulation, giving every cell, enemy, and projectile a uniquely satisfying organic feel. The combination of hand-crafted design and procedural generation ensures endless variety - each run offers a fresh and challenging gameplay experience.

Reviews
Pathogenic is a roguelike twin-stick shooter that lets you customize a little bug as you seek to infect a careless researcher who dropped the test tube that you where living in at the lab. It reminds me a lot of Psycho Starship Rampage, if you enjoyed that game I am sure you will enjoy this one. What a great little game! Another developer proving once again that you don't need to have a AAA budget to make a game that will give you hours of enjoyment. Even not on sale I would recommend you to pick this up as it is fairly cheap even at full price. At the time of this review I've already logged in 24 hours of game play unlocking all of the different

Solid game, clean controls and a very reasonable price.
What an interesting take on the bullet hell/heaven roguelike genre combo. It's very creative and the fantasy of filling a virus/bacteria/etc.'s shoes to fight the human body's immune system is there. There's plenty of fun to be had here but there are two major issues I just can't get past. And I'll keep it real simple. 1. The roguelike aspect of this game is absolutely decimated by what feels like extremely limited variety. Key word being "feels". I'm sure, over time, you can run into more build variety and combo builds. But, at least within the first 15 hours, it feels very "samey". Which doesn't help my second point. 2a. The enemies in this game are there to buy time for the environment to kill you. Sure, some enemies feel extremely "cheap" (like one that dashes across an entire "map" to strike you that's almost impossible to dodge), but most enemies offer a strategy or approach for you to take to defeat them. Most of the time, though, you'll be hitting bullet sponges while your mind wanders to what the rest of your day looks like or what you have to do tomorrow. 2b. That said, as you progress you'll just start dying constantly to the environment, unless you're a moron and like to run into enemies or projectiles that damage you. Additionally, and in reference to what I alluded to in point 1, you evolve to fight and avoid enemies, not the environment. So, there's no way of getting around environmental damage. Might come back to play some more and update my review. However, based on what I've played so far, this is a no from me.
I don't fully recommend it yet This game is so cool conceptually, and personally, I love playing it. But there are issues. The balancing is horrible. The first 2 areas are genuinely kindergarten levels of easy. And then you get to that third area? ♥♥♥♥ you, and your mama and her mama too. The difficulty just spikes, and you will not be ready for it. Additionally, the hitboxes are wack. I have personally died from a hit to my flagellum, which are impossible to control. They quite literally flow around randomly if you're not mid dash/sprint. Lastly, the lung bosses are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The 2 I've seen are a full screen coverage like 30% of the time. I had a build that shredded each room in the lung in under 10 seconds, then the boss brought me down from 11 max hp to 3. Entering heart, the arbitrary blood rivers ripped me straight into enemies or their attacks, as well as delivering a melee enemy from off screen to finish me before it was humanly possible to register its existence. I like this game a lot. The combos and the mechanics are innovative and fun. But fix it please.

This game is about going deep in a man's hole
During gameplay, the game frequently experiences sudden and severe lag, and I can't figure out what is causing it. I'm playing on a gaming laptop, and I don't have this issue with any of the other games I play. I really hope these performance issues can be optimized soon, as the lag seriously affects the overall gaming experience. That said, I genuinely like the concept of the game. I would describe it as a roguelite version of *Spore*, and I think it's a lot of fun. I'm only leaving a negative review for now so that the development team can see and hopefully address this issue. Once the performance problems are improved, I'll be more than happy to change my review back to positive.
