Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 16 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm not really a point & click enjoyer although i've played a select few over the years. Most notably among those is the one that Papetura reminds me of the most; machinarium. I played both for one reason alone; their strange and outlandish worlds. Out of the two i've found Papetura's world far more charming and memorable, especially with how it was physically handmade by the devs. The paper 'feel' came through in every scene which felt authentic and is another example of humanmade art that should be celebrated over ai slop. The music was also pretty good and paired with the visuals for quite the experience. The gameplay was pretty basic though and so was the story but it all had charm and was nice & short. At base price without discount it's a bit steep but on sale it's worth it to experience this quirky and unique world.
Papetura is a gorgeous work of art. It’s not a long experience, yet there is so much life coming out of every scene. You can feel how much love was put into it, and it shows extraordinarily. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a purchase. The full price, and even more so when it’s on sale for such a high level of artistry is an opportunity worth checking out:)

I give this game a rank C (60-65%) Okay game - not bad but you can skip it or try on sale. See my profile for more details about my reviews. This is a charming game, created with great love and care. The game world is filled with quirky creatures who seem to co-exist in an eternal circle of life. Some creatures are easier to like than others, but all fulfill their part in an ecosystem that you only get a small glimpse of. The atmosphere is hard to describe, but you feel part of a living - albeit very surreal - world inside of a paper plant. I have tried to understand the surroundings, but I must admit, most of it is still a mystery to me after finishing the game. And that's absolutely fine. Just like in real life, you don't have to understand everything. Sometimes just taking it all in, accepting things as they present themselves is enough to fill you with joy. I caught myself a couple of times being impatient with the speed of the game, having to backtrack in order to try things out. But whenever I realised this impatience, I told myself to enjoy the breath-taking beauty and the uniqueness of the game world. Some puzzles were easy and straight forward, others made me use the creative help system. You don't just get a clue. First, you have to play a short and easy mini game, then you will be treated to a - sometimes cryptic - clue. All the interactions with characters as well as the clues are presented as little pictograms. Everything in them has a meaning. A fact that I realised during one of the puzzles I was really struggling with. I was doing everything the clue told me - or so I thought. Only after realising that the leading pictogram actually gave a vital clue, which I had ignored, could I solve it. It only took me about 2 hours to finish, but it was a very pleasant experience and it makes me look forward to my other wishlisted game from this developer, Pirofauna, which is yet to be released.

This is my favourite type of game: no fights, beautiful visuals, a great story, and amazing music. All the locations were physically made from paper - stunning! Sometimes I wished the main character moved a little faster, but it wasn’t a big issue.
