Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game is really fun especially if you like on-rail shooters. Honestly the game can be pretty janky at times and it shows its an old classic game. I do feel like the controls when ur going to shoots on ur sides & back are a bit broken? When i switched to the sides or back i couldn't move the dragoon and had to rely on shooting any projectiles which honestly made switching cameras a bit frustrating but despite that it was fun to get through. Just keep in mind this game is very wonky and has a funny ending.

Get on sale if you can. Great game, honestly wish I could just play the og. I'd rather do crack than do that last achievement again because the game is over in an hour and a half tops.
Recommended only if you can get it really cheap and have nostalgia for your childhood, otherwise no. The original panzer dragoon was really basic, and this is a faithful remake which updates the graphics and some aspects of the controls - but change nothing meaningful. It's 45-60mins to complete on normal, and there's little reason to play again. Also, the implementation is very minimal effort. When I started, it played havoc with my secondary screen as there is no borderless windowed mode, and it didn't set to the native resolution of my primary monitor - sloppy & amateaur. The input mapping screen is a visual mess, the warning message when you quit makes you think that you're going to start over from the beginning (you don't - there is autosave). When I finished, it gave me a cheat code to enter - but it said enter 'B' twice - B on the keyboard? The controller? I couldn't get it to work, but why do I have to enter a cheat code and not have it simply be unlocked? Because there has been minimal effort made on this. They neede to do more here. Some more modes, something else. Anything. I'm supporting this as I was such a fan of the original, that I'd like to get saga remade eventually! I hope they put more actual effort into panzer dragoon 2 and don't just use this engine again. I am not hopeful, though, as the developer they used seemds like a dodgy conveyorbelt of conversions and not a team of fans of the original - that's just how it seems.
Rating
6/10
Intro
Mind you, I only have this, since it was bundled with House of the Dead 1 and 2. But whereas those games feel somewhat fair, in the sense that you know where you went wrong, I can't really say the same for this. The gameplay itself is quite fun in concept, being essentially an expanded interation of the Tornado stages in Sonic Adventure 1. But because you have a limited amount of room to move, it makes for dodging what's coming towards you in more difficult stages unfairly tricky and because it's in third-person, there's depth perception issues as well. I doubt I'll come back to this one.
Positives
+ Good soundtrack. + Good enemy variety. + Weapons have good impact. + Good aesthetics and graphics.
Negatives
- Limited amount of movement to dodge enemies and their projectiles.
https://youtu.be/RDnlw8qMlzM Taking a classic and giving it a great glow up that is well done is great, but doesn't cover for the aged rail shooter core that isn't much to write home about.
Terrible. I didn't play the original so I don't have any nostalgia googles on. It's an on-rails shooter and you don't control the dragon in any way, you just click one button the entire game. The graphics are fine but the core premise is outdated and I doubt any modern or young gamers would get any enjoyment out of this. I sure didn't. Disappointing to say the least.
It's a classic shooter that's fun and challenging for first time players. Not a huge time sync, but great story, music and gameplay.
