It has been 500 years since the Deicide War severed the connection between the people and their gods. The Ravaging Lord pushed nations across Terminus to near extinction before the Dragon King himself appeared and brought an end to the bloodshed.
Now, the denizens of Terminus must uncover the mysteries of their past and unlock the silenced power of their gods. For war will come again. And this time the dragons won’t be there to save you.

Enjoyable for fans of old school EQ
The game is genuinely fun, especially when I can find a group. It’s obviously still unfinished, but something about it keeps drawing me back. My concern is that sometimes it feels like the “old-school MMO” label is being used to justify design decisions that may actually be due to development constraints — not true creative vision. Take the lack of instanced dungeons — that wasn’t a beloved feature of classic MMOs; it was a technical limitation at the time. The same goes for how they’re handling shards. Right now, each server has multiple separate shards you have to log into manually. Even though your character and bank carry over, the world doesn't — which makes it feel fragmented, not immersive. A more seamless solution, like WoW’s layering system, would go a long way in making the world feel alive and interconnected. Honestly, I’d be willing to pay a monthly fee to play even in its current state if it would help ensure the game gets finished. I’d be even more comfortable doing that if the devs committed to open-sourcing the game if development ever halts — so the community could carry it across the finish line if they no longer can. That would show real commitment to the players who believe in this world, and it would keep the dream alive no matter what.

This old-school MMO nails the feeling of classic online gaming with its grind-heavy progression, tight-knit community, and rewarding sense of adventure. The world feels alive in a way modern MMOs often miss, where every dungeon run and rare drop actually means something.
The game looks good, and I'm really enjoying it, but I feel there are a few things that need to be fixed if the game is going to have a longer lifespan. I think more players would be willing to play and pay the $40 price tag if there were some quality-of-life features added. A map, for example, would be a huge improvement. Losing your body and all your gear and then spending 30 minutes trying to find it again can be very frustrating. A world chat would also be a nice addition so players can communicate more easily. An auction house or marketplace for selling items would help the economy, and it would be great to have larger storage options or bags to expand inventory space. I understand that games like this take time to work out the kinks, and I know development is an ongoing process. However, if a game is going to be sold for $40 or more, I think basic features like some form of map should already be included. Overall, I like the game and see a lot of potential, but these improvements would make a big difference for both new and existing players. i will change my not to remned to other to rec to other ones i playh little more and see how it gos
Recaptures EQ, that's what we want.
Just what I was looking for, takes me back to the release of EQ1 and EQ2 - I am super hooked. I haven't experienced a lot of bugs. But have also only been playing for 2 hours. But I must say that the 2 hours were some of the best gaming i've had lately. I know there are some negativity from players with around 900 hours of game time, that will never be me. I don't have the time to play for 900 hours, ever. But I had a lot of fun, and can't wait until all the kids are asleep so I can play some more.
Pantheon Rise of the Fallen, has made great strides and continues to improve as a game. If you like old style MMORPG's you won't be disappointed. It also has a great community.
