PANTHEON: RISE OF THE FALLEN IS A DEEPLY SOCIAL HIGH FANTASY MMO
GAME THAT CHALLENGES ITS PLAYERS AND REWARDS EFFORT.
It has been 500 years since the Deicide War severed the connection between the people and their gods. The Ravaging Lord pushed nations across Terminus to near extinction before the Dragon King himself appeared and brought an end to the bloodshed.
Now, the denizens of Terminus must uncover the mysteries of their past and unlock the silenced power of their gods. For war will come again. And this time the dragons won’t be there to save you.

Reviews
This game is brilliant, lots of potential, no mindlessly running between mission markers, real danger in exploration at night, very difficult, death is brutal but that adds to the challenge, please make this game compatible with controllers
somehow worse than project gorgon

This game is freaking terrible, graphics are pretty dated and servers lag and crash
Sadly, it feels like a student project. Even overlooking aesthetics/ui/gamefeel, many features are cloned that reduce dev scope rather than actually work towards the stated vibe/tenants ('consider' output can be in frame UI, 'maps' can exist while discovery also exists, crafting need not require a wiki). It's a pretty rigid emulation vs. going back to first principles, seemingly to keep a very specific audience - time will tell if this audience is big enough to sustain a project like this or not.
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen – Early Access Review I’m fully aware this game has had a very rough past. Nearly ten years of promises, restarts, and questionable funding choices made Pantheon feel like it might never happen. But speaking as someone who only started playing within the last six months and is judging what’s playable right now — I actually like it. The current build offers real glimpses of what Brad McQuaid envisioned: slow, tactical combat, meaningful progression, and a world that feels dangerous again. My group has spent 50+ hours in weekly runs, and every session delivers that old-school MMO feeling — laughing through wipes, meeting random players, and earning every win. It’s not polished, it’s not for everyone, and it still has a long road ahead. But in its current state, it’s surprisingly enjoyable if you know what you’re getting into. Rating: 6.8/10 – rough history, real potential. (I also shared my full thoughts on YouTube for anyone curious about how Pantheon plays today — just search “Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Review – Is It Worth Playing in 2025?” and you’ll find it!)
Wait for this game to be published first and keep up with it's updates This game has been in development for over 10 years. It has raised millions of dollars on top of that. Yet it is seriously lacking content. There is absolutely no excuse this game should be where it is right now. To start with the graphics are worse than a game from 2003. I'm not even joking there are mobile games that look better than this game. Characters and classes - There is close to almost 0 ways to make your toon look special. Once you are in game everyone looks the same. The avatars are super stiff, they don't do anything that looks natural. Pulling out a sword literally looks like a stick man with no joints just magically making it appear to be out and ready. There is no map. There is no story and this is a mmorpg. There are only a few quest to do at all. There is a copy and paste gear system, that somehow if you are max level you can give your lowest level toon that same gear. It is basically lacking in all areas, I would highly recommend if you are interested in purchasing this game to wait and see if it ever comes out. This isn't nostalgia. You're not getting WoW, Eq, etc.. feelings from this.
I did not enjoy Pantheon at first. Over time however, its unique art style and core gameplay loop are solid. It is a good alternative to EverQuest for old school MMO/MU* experience.
Not ready yet. Feels like an early alpha test. if that.
