For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

No update since Sept of 2025. Abandoned Game. Skip this. Shame on Robot Entertainment. Wont be tricking me into buying another one of their titles.
Dead game Do not buy if you expect updates
It still feels unfinished after many updates. There is no chat in an online/coop game in 2025? Left 4 dead had a chat from day 1. It's also a coop game not only a solo one. I really don't like the Hub system it just makes things slower. I have to walk to an npc instead of clicking once in the menu. Same as Killing floor 3 I don't know why they think Hubs are good. The only "new" game that made it work was Darktide. It's really hard to find people to play with online because not many ppl actually play the game. The lobby finder looks like it was made in 1 day. Looks cheap and unfinished same as the whole menu. Even if I manage to find a lobby with ppl I can't talk to them? Noone uses mics and there is no chat so 0 communication. Not very fun for a coop game. The core elements of the game are good as I liked the previous games however the whole random map design is not for me. I like the old campaigns. Traps are cool but there are way too few ones. Maps are beautiful but also badly designed for traps. Hard to find good spots to make a kill box. Some maps are way too big with so many lanes to cover and as a solo player it's hard. With barricade limit I can't make 1 lane out of 4. Characters feel soulless like an Ai made them. They look childish and weird but also boring. I really wanted to like this game as I loved the previous ones. The traps alone made me buy the game but I just can't enjoy it with how unfinished this game feels.
Its a weird game. Nothing gets explained in game, you have to watch like 9 boring videos you can watch when you talk to Max. the way you navigate the various systems is... janky. You have this massive castle you walk in with several NPC's offering various services, nothing wrong with that I suppose, but the way this game loop is made, you spend enough time walking aroudn for it become tedious, but not enough time walking around to remember where everything is, so you keep forgetting where you need to go. Even after 15 hours, I just hate the castle and wish we had a menu instead, the novelty wears off quick. I've only played with 2 of the available warmages, Sophie and a warmage you have to unlock. They do feel like very different characters, I enjoy the difference in their abilities. When it comes to the actual gameplay, I do not enjoy it, it feels like most maps are made with Co-op in mind instead of solo play, and it frustrates me that they are putting stuff in Orcs must die, nobody asked for, much like they did with unchained. Though I guess, maybe this game was a good excuse to make use of all the assets they still had left over from unchained. You have a very limited amount of Barricades usually just enough so you can block the bajillion ways the orcs have to reach the crystal. Every map you start, you instantly feel overwhelmed by how you have to use your limited barricades to funnel the orcs, leaving very little to actually maze, or build a satisfying defense. For some people this might be a positive, for me, not so much. It makes it feel like the game doesn't know if it wants to be a hero defense game, or a tower defense game. The traps, there are just too many of them. A lot of traps are subpar with a high reset time (min of 10 seconds, maximum of 16 seconds IIRC) This can be brought down by upgrading the traps, and its a pretty big investment to be made if you want to upgrade them. There also isn't a good way of testing these traps, adding to the frustration of finding your next trap to unlock, or be stuck with a trap that you thought was gonna be good, but it actually isn't. One trap in particular is a big plant that instantly kills a small unit, but takes about 16 seconds to reset, and is quite expensive. you also have a global skilltree that affects all war mages that you can spend skulls on, and you have a personal skill tree which empowers the warmage themself. Its very... underwhelming, and thats really all I can say about this game. Its probably more fun with friends to an extent, but it wouldn't solve the underlying issues. Its def a "buy on sale" game. And I would dare say even 15 euro's is a tad too much, 10 euro's is probably the better price range to wait for.
Absolute trash, terrible game, the graphics are worse, the gameplay is over complex and the mission selection is gacha style, barriers are limited, a rando can jump off the map and eat all your rift points, terrible frame rate, and the trailers are deceiving at best, Refunded immediately, old characters are gone. no reason to buy this. Take the worst of modern gaming and shove it down your thoat. I dont want my strategy game to involve gambling.
Personally enjoyed the game and changes made to the series more than others have ; especially to do with the barricades. I played 90% multiplayer and completed it entirely. It does feel slightly incomplete which wasn't a problem when updates were coming out quarterly. There has been no updates for a while now and it appears like they developer has dropped it.
It's with a certain degree of hesitation I write this recommendation, as when I think about OMD as a whole, I often think about what it *could* be rather than what it actually is. This series constantly flirts with greatness, but never quite reaches it. So, let's address the obvious pieces first. It's highly unlikely, at the time of writing this, that there'll be any more updates to Deathtrap. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as it's feature complete and mostly bug free. If you want some classic OMD fun, it's here as you know it. The way gameplay is structured is considerably different than the earlier installments. Rather than simply picking a stage and shooting to 5 Skull it, this follows a traditional rogue-like progression system as you level up your character and stack positive and negative modifiers and environmental effects until, eventually, you lose or quit your run. I thought this would bother me more than it did, but the pseudo-randomness of it helps spice things up. If you're *not* familiar with OMD, then those expectations are less important, in which case, lets get to the meat and potatoes. This is a hero shooter/tower defense/horde mode game, where you select and upgrade your loadout to counter specific enemy types. You've got your expected selection of abilities and ults as you might expect from a hero shooter, your various tower types that counter specific enemy types, and a ♥♥♥♥ load of enemies on the field at once. The fun is in that frantic rush to fill in the gaps of your defense, and simply sitting back and watching as your expertly crafted kill boxes turn your foes into mulch. Combat is rudimentary, but satisfying enough in the context of it being a tower defense. While you can play this solo, it's definitely balanced around the expectation of two players. There are modifications to enemy health, spawn behavior, and available towers so a solo player isn't irrevocably screwed, but speaking personally, I find duoing this to be relaxing while I find solo, at least on some maps, to be absolutely stressful. So take that into consideration when pondering this purchase - do you have a friend willing to play this with you? If not, the experience is quite different. All in all, I give this a recommendation with the understanding that you'll eventually hit a point where you've gotten what you want out of the experience. But you'll likely have enjoyed that time, and there's nothing wrong with walking away from a game for good when you're done with it.
