About
The incremental auto battler. Build an orc army, watch it fight, and make it unstoppable!
Orc Incremental puts you in command of a growing warband of dark forces. Recruit all kinds of units, set formations, draw powerful cards, and ascend for permanent power bonuses to make every run hit harder than the last. Idle progression meets real tactical decisions, and it never stops scaling.
DRAFT YOUR ARMY
Draw cards to add units and totems to your warband. Units come in multiple rarities and fill different battlefield roles, and the right mix is what gets you past the next wall. Totems provide passive bonuses that can change how your whole army performs. Every card you pick shapes your composition and pushes your run in a different direction.
SET YOUR FORMATION. LET THEM LOOSE.
Your army marches forward and fights on its own. When your strategy is working, you watch it rip through wave after wave. When you hit a wall, rethink your lineup or swap in new units.
CAST SPELLS. BREAK THROUGH.
You can support your army with spells. Drop a Blizzard to slow a boss that's tearing through your frontline, or land a Fireball at the right moment to close out a fight you were about to lose.
ASCEND. RETURN STRONGER.
At some point your army stops being enough. That's when you ascend (Dark Rebirth). Reset your run, keep permanent bonuses (for damage, health, gold, etc.) and unlock new units and challenges that weren't available before. The early game opens up as your power grows, and the later milestones keep pushing you further. Every Dark Rebirth makes you stronger and opens up new goals.

Reviews
Meta progression is boring and slow. You've seen everything in the game after 1 hour.
once you get the dragon orc combo going, there is nothing left to achieve... what a waste of money
My orcs are fighting while I sleep. Woke up to absolute mountains of gold. Love it!

Really should've called it Orcremental. But that's not why I'm recommending against it... I'm recommending against it because it's not very good. The gameplay is the first five minutes of the game, looped for hours. I'll probably keep playing to get all the achievements... but even that's not guaranteed, as there's one ridiculous achievement, as devs tend to want to do, that I'll gripe out further down... The game consists of summoning orcs (Or totems.... and them more totems... and them more... and oh my god, just summon a unit already!) and sending them off to battle. Once they're in your formation, they're there to stay until you do the prestige mechanic. As my tiny totem tangent might tell you, there's RNG on the summoning. Want a shaman because you've got five warriors, three alchemists, six totems, two warg riders, three dragons, but still don't have the basic F'ing ranged unit?! Too bad, you just got another totem. The RNG ruins this game so much. If I could just click on a building and get a random type of unit from that building, it might be less awful.... But why not just let me summon a type of unit? Instead of this whole random nonsense. Too many games have heavy RNG and this is just another on the pile. Now, you could just keep summoning things, but the cost gets more and more expensive every time you summon something. Eventually it gets too ridiculous to summon something else and your run is ruined because it kept giving you useless things. (Looking at you, juggernauts, why would I want units that blow themselves up?) The gameplay consists of clicking to launch fireballs, and watching your orcs swing their arms back and forth.... and that's about it. You get upgrades that are all a percent increase of stats which isn't a terrible system, it's just not a terribly interesting one. Gold after the first few hundred waves starts getting really scarce compared to the costs of the upgrades and the only way to increase gold drops is one upgrade that does very little, or prestige upgrades, back to wave 1 for you to roll the dice on the totems again! I know some people love prestige mechanics... I think they're boring. They have the potential to be good, but because the bonuses you get in this game are so slim, it's not like you rocket back to where you were, it's more like you re-join a long queue that you just got to the mid way point of but had to jump out to pee. Now you're not carrying all that pee in your bladder, but you're still waiting in a queue that's not going any faster... and for some reason someone keeps throwing totems at you. The aforementioned achievement. There are little birds that fly past you while you're playing, they go from the bottom of the screen, to the top, then back again. In 10 hours I have hit 5 of these.... The achievement requires 100. I saw those 5 fairly early on, I haven't seen any in the past 7 hours. How in the absolute hell am I suppose to get 100? And keep in mind, you have to personally hit them. I'd be on 6, but I missed one of them. So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. I get that not everyone cares about achievements.... but I do, so that makes it into my list of issues with Orcremental. I do want to try and include more positives in my reviews... So the art is pretty decent. I like the style, it brings me back to Warcraft, which I suspect was the point. That's it for positives. Back to rolling a 20 sided die where 19 of the numbers are totems and 1 is a bloody Shaman. Thanks for reading, or skipping to the end. Whether or not you agree with me, have a lovely day. <3
Awesome! Such a fun game, so satisfying to play!
this game is addictive, but i don't think it's fun.
Unfortunely it goes from good to decent to bad to downright boring rather quickly. It would be more accurate to call this Orc Idle as you're almost immediately encouraged to just idle the game instead of actually play it because progression is just that slow.
Loving it so far, the gameplay already really appealed to me but the #1 most surprising thing has been how great the music is. Definitely gonna get the soundtrack if they end up releasing it
Extremely addicting game right from the start.
As of now, it has been 4ish patches now and (likely more to follow), and atm, the game is okay for its price. It starts strong, but feels very early access, with a lackluster mid/end. Anyways, this is a numbers incremental, not a mechanics incremental. The devs are hard at work, and hopefully they will eventually add interesting mechanics. ----------------- Problems Maps are too big, and unless you run a rage build (likely dragon + fighter), you will farm at a snail's pace. While other builds exist, they are sorely lacking in clear speed. Why play slow, when can play fast. Theres like 1 + .5+.5 builds available. And honestly, the prestige tree is one of the worst I have seen. Essentially every upgrade (besides unit and thus rarity unlocks) has been numbers go up, or the absurd scaling gold cost goes down. Within the tree of 100+ nodes, there are 9+4 notables that even alter gameplay, and not even that significantly). There isn't any, shaman's chain again, catapults launch creatures, whatever melee gaining aoe, etc. (4 rarity unlocks, 1 reroll, +1 recruitment choice, 1 fireball pierce, warpath, deployment ritual, +4 if you count rage stacks) ----------- Notable: Run RNG Despite how number centric the game is, runs are not that deterministic. So each run can feel a little different. Due to your ever skyrocketing gold cost when recruiting units, against the RNG of hitting high rarity unit GOD (~2% chance) unit, with 4x modifiers (idk%). While it's interesting that my run bricked or is sub-par. because I couldn't find X piece, or my Y unit wasn't the right rarity, it gets exceptionally annoying and tedious. -------
