Slow Pace, so slow, no cloud save
A cheap, short ride (takes about 2 hours) but I enjoyed it for what it's worth. Absolutely FANTASTIC soundtrack. One criticism: much like the previous title of the devs that I played (A Game About Feeding a Black Hole) they don't seem to quite know what to do with a skill tree. It feels like you're being guided down a path of upgrades as opposed to building something for yourself.

Amazing music! The catalan translation is not very good but I really appreciate having the occasion to play this game in my mother tounge. :)
Fun little bullet hell twin stick shooter with an upgrade tree. Nothing too special about the upgrade tree you pretty much just grab everything along the path but the game itself was still a fun challenge to complete. Hardcore mode was tough but managed to beat it on my first try by just playing very I'm not sure why other reviewers keep complaining about this as a bad incremental game - it's not an incremental game and I'm not sure why they were expecting that.
I'm not usually the type who'd but a bad review out of nowhere, but this... No. Just. No. With the same passion you can go and buy "BALL x PIT" This game has absolutely no optimization ;-; Difficulty levels - like a rollercoaster, and for some sort of reason 7th boss is actually harder then 9th, but not cause of patern or bullet spam, NONONO, it has like thrice the hp of usual boss and it can spawn a shootgun in your back, just for fun There was a TON of ways to make this game playable, a TON of ways to make it fair, a TON of ways to make it fun, yet I felt like I'm playing google presentations for 2 hours I could've made it before refund time... :c Never again. Upd: well, somewhere from 5th location it became the only place you can actually farm currency (chargers do all the job for ya) and it is the same spot where gameplay slows down because upgrades get more expensive and less powerfull There wasn't really a place where this game feels "unfair", but at certain point it just gets a bit too predictable, some bosses can't actually hit you if you just move (sorry charger and mortar) And final boss is quite a thing, it's mechanic is well, bullet spam which is actually not challenging and partly will just remind you of 7th boss again, and it is can be fixable in so many ways, you can add him passive random mortar attacks, maybe lasers, as well it can be bouncy bullets, even actuall adding invulnerable (just tons of HP) bouncer or donut would made this fight way more like a finale And achievements, not making one for other mods was an absolute crime, boss rush and hardcore should reward the players who decided to test themself I do hope this review will in fact help you with your game
Orb Breaker
Orb Breaker by Aarimous and Thornity combines elements from the incremental games genre and the bullet hell genre, using them to create a game that is both accessible, aesthetically pleasing, and fun to play. The core component of gameplay involves breaking blocks and/or defeating enemies in order to accumulate points, and spending those points to buy the upgrades necessary to make beating the levels and bosses possible. Upgrades are available to unlock after every run, successful or not, and include things such as increased damage, a longer timer, additional lives, and various other helpful bonuses to more efficiently clear levels and progress through the game. The visual aesthetics of the game are clean, minimalistic and of good quality. In spite of its tag as a bullet hell, the game generally does a surprisingly efficient job at making things easy to read and not feel overcrowded, aside from the visual effects of some specific upgrades. The sound design of the game is good, paired with a soundtrack that creates an appropriately techno action packed atmosphere, although some songs can be a hit or miss depending on personal musical preferences. The game also features balanced objectives through its Steam achievements that help enhance the gameplay experience and add a slight touch of challenge. Orb Breaker is overall a good, minimalistic, and fun to play game by Aarimous and Thornity, and a good recommendation for someone looking for a concise and what could be described as a casually challenging experience.
fun, challenging game! Definitely worth it to play, has a lot of power ups and upgrades that add to the fun
Just what I expected, a nice mix between bullet hell and incremental.
