Mars has been colonized, and Earth's corporate titans fight to dominate this new market. Competition is fierce in this fast-paced economic RTS from Civilization IV Lead Designer, Soren Johnson.

Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 7 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Offworld Trading Company is a timeless classic. It's incredibly deep while still being accessible. Most games I don't return to after I stop playing but this one I feel the urge to go back to every year. The game is somewhat like an economic board game but played in real time which puts a completely different spin on things. There's a ton of DLC as well to keep you busy although you don't need any to enjoy the game. If you like strategy games don't hesitate to buy this.
Have you ever wondered what motivates CEOs to make the most nonsensical, cruel and spiteful decisions that harm their surrounding communities for the sake of slightly more money? This game might make you relate to them for a brief stretch of time. Also it's a cool iteration of an RTS.

good, not great
Cutthroat Capitalism Simulator
Caveat: I've really only spent time playing the multiplayer with friends. I never really bothered with the single player missions. That being said, this game is one of my go-to choices for a quick, fun, strategic multiplayer experience. If you mess up early on, it can pretty much hamstring you for the whole game (e.g. I forgot how one of the factions worked and placed my HQ in the completely wrong spot). But, after a few runs at it and once you've picked a faction that you like, that's less likely to happen. It really is an interesting format for a game. I can't pretend to have even remotely figured out how to really leverage the markets, or to corner a good and make a hefty profit from it, but it does make for some entertaining multiplayer matches. That being said, you'll probably need to persuade some friends to get into it as well to have the most fun, as public lobbies seem exceedingly rare.
This game has a lot of niches, but it takes weird directions with all of them It's an RTS, but without combat. It's a base building game without many structures. It's a colony sim, where colonists don't really matter. It's a business sim where hostile takeovers is the goal. I guess if any of those things sounds good, then get this game, but if you're here for the normal feel of any of those genres stay FAAAR way. If I could refund this I would.
If you like space exploration, but not just rockets, if you want to see dead-end capitalism finally realizing the wetness of the dreams of billionaires, and add that to an Age of Empires RTS where you don't need to look for the towncenter, that is your game. have 1 hour long sessions where the end game stress is the same as a the stock market while yelling at the screen that you need more water in a planet known to not have any lying around just so you can buy apple.
Triumph of gamedesign over common sense.
I love this game.
its too hard and the learning curve is far too steep. i dont know what im doing wrong to constantly lose on the easiest difficulty. honestly upset I even paid $15 for it. not once was I enjoying this game. it feels rigged in the way the AI keeps building faster than me every time i play any match.
I love making purchases
