About
Selected by the fickle finger of fate, Abe™, floor-waxer first class for RuptureFarms, was catapulted into a life of adventure when he overheard plans by his boss, Molluck the Glukkon™, to turn Abe and his fellow Mudokons into Tasty Treats as part of a last-ditch effort to rescue Molluck's failing meat-packing empire.
During his escape from RuptureFarms, Abe received a vision from the mysterious Big Face, showing Abe that he must not only rescue his fellow Mudokons, but also protect all of Oddworld's creatures from the predatory Magog Cartel.
After completing arduous Temple trials, and journeying across a wasteland with his friend Elum, Abe was granted the awesome power of the Shrykull. Returning to RuptureFarms, Abe destroyed the foul slaughterhouse, rescued his buddies, and brought down some righteous lightning on top of Molluck's pointy head.

The first game i have very fond memories of and played both Oddysee and Exodus constantly for hours on my old laptop with a knockoff xbox controller that was see through as my dad watched football in the living room, i was at the table playing it and i never got tired of it and that way about probably 12 to 13 years ago Years later i still love the first game at least the first half of it, i remember why i like the second game way better because the first game has bad autosaving and half the game pretty much are these trials, i wasn't ever a fan of trial stuff so it bums me this is my least favorite part, i still love it though 9/10 - You will die a lot
[IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ALL OF THIS, SKIP TO THE END!!!] Alright, so first off, be aware that this game doesn't have excellent game design. Infact, the game design is actually somewhat subpar. The game oftentimes doesn't tell you important things (i.e, there is a part of the stockyards level where you have to get a stone to throw to set off mines by hitting a bag while jumping. The game does not that you can get said stones that way, or that you need them), and the save system is quite bad, with you having to tediously do things over and over again if you die, and trust me, you WILL die a lot. So, why am I recommending it? Because it's oftentimes satysfying as HELL to get past a puzzle, and, most importantly of all... The art. This game's art is GREAT. Scratch that, the game itself is ART! Genuinely, I CANNOT stress this enough, I LOVE the way this game looks. The closest things to it I can think of are Badlands and (to some level) Half-Life 1. It feels like an alive, yet decaying world. Like an ecosystem growing over a manmade one. It feels like if nature and machinery were swapped, and various manmade constructs began growing out of the ground, only for nature and machinery to get swapped back, and have vines grow on top of them. I truly cannot describe just how it feels. There's also a remade version with better game design (New 'N' Tasty), but that one feels more generic and flat. Overall, if you're fine with having to check playthroughs from time to time, and generally having to play a difficult stealth/puzzle/platformer game, this is a MUST BUY!!!
This was the first game I ever owned on the PS1. I enjoyed it back then and had no issue with this PC port. It ran well on my Steam Deck. I had to tweak the controls a bit and it showed only keyboard controls but nothing that makes the game unplayable.
chudworld abes chudessy lol
grew up playing this game on the playstation and its still really fun. it does crash sometimes which i kinda expected sense its such an old game running on alot better hardware. however despite that i still love the game and its a fun challenge.
