基本的な戦闘システムが面白く、ゲーム攻略自由度が高いシリーズの初代。 スターオーシャン等の往年の自由度高めRPGが好きなら刺さるかもしれない。 特に最初に選んだ主人公の１章をクリアすると、すべての町に行けることと、 初期から強力な装備を集められる狂ったバランスが面白かった。 テキストに関する賛否は承知だが、キャラクター自体は良いキャラしてると思う。 あまりにも掘り下げがないけれど、敵キャラも良い感じに狂ったりキモイのが多い。 プリムロゼェ… なお、ストーリーはあっさりしているが８名×４章×平均１時間くらいなので、 キャラストーリー追うだけでも通常プレイだとそこそこかかる。 実績コンプを目指すと難易度高めなのが多い。 スキップもできるのでRTA走者向きの実績もあったりする。

If you like old school JRPGs with sorta 16 bit graphics then you should play this game. If you like tactics/strategy games you will probably also like it. I spent a lot of time, and this is my second playthrough of this game, and I really love the gameplay. The strategy and tactics are great! The combat is up there with any other ATB type game. That said, I Honestly dont know how to say I put over 100 hours into a game, but I am a bit disappointed. I love the gameplay and the strategy in this game, but the story is an absolute after thought. I love the concept, and the gameplay is great, I just wish they had tried to tie the 8 stories together. The end quest after you finish the 8 paths is so underwhelming it nearly ruined my experience. Not only that but I had to look up how to start it. Its good, I loved playing it, and I would recommend it to any old school JRPG fan, or turn based strategy fan, but if you are not hardcore into that then I would give it a pass.

美术，音乐我吹爆，剧情略显平淡，药师的我还是有点感觉的

옥토패스 시리즈의 첫 게임. 그러다 보니까 우측 상단의 장식만 있는 미니맵 뷰어라던가, 좀 떨어지는 그래픽, 거의 힌트가 없는 갈데라 스토리 등 미숙한 점들이 많다. 하지만 최초로 등장한 갈데라와 전투에서 이겼을 때의 제일 재밌었고 쾌감이 지금도 기억에 남을 정도였다.
